Joel Embid 2016-17

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still a turnover machine...basically undoes all of his good work on offense with his turnovers.

YEah that 2014-2015 was in the bag even with only Kyrie being healthy.. we had complete control of the 1st game with the starters in. The only reason we dropped the lead time and time again was because of our miserable bench at the time.
James Jones and Mike Miller getting significant minutes is a killer.

I do believe we overpaid for Love and now that you see the price of disgruntled stars it makes you wonder.. not that it matters because GSW changed the landscape of the league and lowered the value of impact players around the league, but still.

Love never came close to the impact that he was advertised to give the Cavs, especially on the biggest stage relative to the price that was paid at the time. Unfortunate really. GSW just came out of nowhere.

Agree with all this. Re 2014-15, that is really heartbreaking. The travel call on Mozgov and Lebron taking and missing that last shot are a huge what-if in Cavs history. If we win that game in regulation then Kyrie doesn't get the devastating injury, we are up 1-0, and we likely win the series. We were no question a superior team to GS that year when healthy.

You could tell how shook and unready Golden State was that year...why we were able to briefly assume a series lead. It took until Game 4 for them to get over the jitters.

Such a clear case of losing due to being injured and undermanned. The only thing that placates me is the "revenge" factor that came with winning the following year...that and the fact that a host of things had to work in our favor, it could have easily been the Warriors' title.
