I'm still absolutely baffled that saying a team is "playing like a bunch of thugs" is racial. I honestly had no idea that someone would get offended by that.

If you don't understand that the team has several white guys and he never once singled out a black individual, then its your fault that you jump to conclusions when there isn't sufficient evidence. I'd love to listen if you can give me actual evidence that he directed it solely at black players. If he didn't then come back to reality and quit getting so damn offended over every single little thing.

Beeline ended up weaker than expected. You know the "vets" are gonna be asses. You just ignore them and slowly knock guys off the roster the next year or two, building in your culture and having the strength to do so. Beeline was too old in the end. He simply didn't have the energy to do that.

For clarification are you talking about the context to which Beilein used the terms (inadvertent or otherwise) or a broader discussion for why the word "thug" is loaded and often coded language?

I mean they absolutely have to take some responsibility since a LOT of people thought Beilein would struggle to transition to the NBA but there is just no way that anyone could have foreseen the level to which he ended up screwing up. If he had just struggled and been a poor fit for the league that’s one thing, but the old man completely imploded.

So,because there's a few white players on the team it absolves him for using the word in a locker room full of black men....makes perfect sense.
