Disagree completely, game was lost because they couldn’t stop turning the ball over or defend. Garland a big culprit.

Sure, but it goes deeper than that man.
Watch the lineups that were on the floor at the time, not calling timeouts when we started having meltdowns, not putting a solid defender on Lavine or double teaming him, taking Love out of rhythm, not getting Osman more shots when he was hot, and it goes on and on. Just complete lack of adjustments.
Robotic coaching.

Wonder if the old guy has had enough,,maybe he will resign lol

A decent question really.

What is the point for a man of his age to be wasting his time coaching a tanking team, must be something more fulfilling to spend time on. Basically a caretaker until the children grow up and decide to compete.

I wonder what he could do with a halfway decent team. I don’t see why he would stick around. If I was him I’d just go back to college and go back to being one of the best there. No reason he should have to go through this crap.

It usually takes him a year or two to build his college teams up. He's likely done after he gets fired or quits. I think he just wanted a shot at the NBA before retiring. We were the only team willing to give him that chance so he took it. But a shitty first year Is likely what he himself and the team expected.

I agree and I hope he does come around. The things that concern me are the lack of an offense like he had in college. With the "rumors" that he was concentrating on too much fundamentals may have actually been true and there was no solid offense implemented. In his interviews, I hear the phrase "in the NBA" a lot and he needs to just stop thinking AND SAYING that. I also think he was expecting a losing season but I don't think he expected this much and the way we are losing.

However, with that said, he is a very smart basketball person and I feel he will make a huge leap forward next year as long as Koby can help get talent that fits his schemes (whatever they are). I have not lost confidence in him or the team (which is hard to say right now) because we now see how important Clarkson was for that second unit and that was not the coach's decision. Many have discussed moving Garland or Sexton to the second unit but if you really look at what we have, we need better talent, period. KLove is good in spurts but is not a leader or a go-to guy down the stretch. TT is the best example of a leader we have on this team and works his ass off during the game, but is niche player that fits a playoff caliber team and not this Cavs team. Other vets like Henson, Exum and Delly are just happy to be playing basketball at this point due to injury or just not being good.

The main concern though is Koby. He has not proven to be any good thus far. Just my 2 pennies worth.

I don't see an exit this year.. we are still early in the rebuild, playing two terrible child guards.. This last game all of our assists are coming from the front court..

I think Beilin has to establish a defensive culture, with professional level guards running an offense. I think Garland is two years away. So we will need patience and some pingpong ball luck to break through..

Is there a recognizable system/scheme the Cavs try to implement on either end of the court?

On the defensive end, too often it looks like something akin to kicking over an ant pile. And
the aardvark wins.

On the other end, it's maddening how often someone(not always Sexton) dribbles the life out
of the shot clock while the other guys stand like they are posing for a still life portrait. Seems
inevitable that is going to result in any thwarted drive into the lane having nowhere to
pass the ball.

I was listening to a Kobe interview from 2018 where he answered a question about the
viability of the triangle offense in the current NBA. He said it could work with some tweaks
and that the important thing is to have a system where guys know where their teammates
are supposed to be on the court.

I'm not so sure you can blame Beilein for a lot of this. The players just do not defend...very poor effort most nights getting out to shooters and our guards are offering no resistance stopping opposing guards from having uncontested layups. I'm quite sure he's not teaching the concept of having one player dribble for 20 seconds and then passing to TT 15 feet from the basket. These are very young players for the most part figuring out their way right now...not sure anyone expected too many wins this season

You had the same trouble when Labron was here no running back on defense the players that were here with him are still here look no further

well when one of your starters has the mobility of an arthritic 90 year old you’re gonna have issues

This was alarming to me last night during his interview. He doesn't make adjustments? NBA teams do and it probably has a lot to do with bad 3rd quarters

That's what I was thinking. He hasn't been good able in game adjustments and he might not be making adjustments at the half because he just isn't seeing the NBA well. Maybe he needs the video sessions just as much as the young players because he isn't seeing it in real time.
