Really missed an opportunity by not calling timeout before TT Shaqted a fool in the fourth quarter. He had two available.

Love what he's done to the team and culture, but I think if he takes a timeout there as opposed to later on, the Cavs win tonight.

I think it is tough in that spot.

2:30 left in an NBA game is an eternity. If you burn a TO there, you now have 1 left for what could be another 8-10 possessions (with fouls) in a tight game.

Seems like there are about 50 possible outcomes there and one of the most unexpected happened. TT honestly should have just taken a back court or shot clock violation there......I'd criticize the player more than the coach.

Two timeouts affords you the opportunity to advance, with a safety net. If I play that game out 100 times, I probably want (2) TO's left a majority of the time.

If you watch the replay you can see Beilein yelling at Thompson and pointing to the guard (might have been Garland) to pass it to him and all Thompson had to do was stop and do it. You can also see Beilein grabbing his head after Thompson launched the shot. I think Beilein was surprised as anyone that Thompson didn't get the ball to the wide open guard so never even considered he would need a time out to fix the train wreck.

You love how aggressive nad successful Thompson had been in the paint, but he needs to kick out under heavy coverage, and he needed to kick it out when he knew Embiid was right there too really. If he can get to his hook, that is awesome. If 4 guys are hounding him he needs to get it out to 3.

We should have more 3 pt attempts right now and part of that needs to be the bigs getting doubled in the post which they are all the time now that they know both Kevin and TT are having great years.

I love that he keeps talking about assists. Miami is exactly what we want to be, the move the ball so well almost best in the league. Also like that he keeps mentioning our lack of length, hopefully its something the team addresses in the future when drafting/trading for players.

Rotations are whack. Needed to get Sexton and some of the starters back after the second unit got us closer. They were dead tired...don't know what he was thinking.

We need more ball movement and better sets. We barely use off ball screens. Watch the Heat and how they free up their shooters...and since we can't switch because of size, they get wide open looks. I'd like to see us run screens for Windler when he comes back.

TT never sets off ball screens, he just watches the play if he doesn’t have the ball or is setting an on ball screen

hopefully when windler comes back they make him set more. He was great at it with jr and Korver. Maybe we just don’t have the shooters that need it.

I agree about getting the starters back in , but I think he was sending a message. He didn't put TT back in either. Guys weren't moving the ball and the guys on the bench were playing with more heart and moving the ball.

He said in the post game that he should have done that, but that he was showing trust to the bench. He knew they were fatigued. He was showing TT and Sexton if they don't bring the right energy, they are going to sit in crunch time.

Porter should be getting more touches as a ball handler, kid is dangerous in the pnr. His decision making and shot selection need work, but the potential is there

Small sample size, but he's been pretty terrible in the PnR so far this season.

In fact, only Clarkson and Delly have been above average statistically.

I'm conflating his passing from yesterday with him being in PnRs for some reason.

Even Sexton and Cedi aren't performing well in PnR situations?

He's not making quick decisions. He is second guessing himself and breaking things off, backing it out. I don't think he is ready to handle the ball much. I want him to keep getting better at what he is doing because it is giving him structure. He's almost the youngest guy in the draft, I expect him to get more offensive opportunities.

Sexton rates in the 18th percentile so far. Cedi doesn't show up. I'm guessing he's lacking the requisite reps.

His adjustments are non existent. His set rotations that he brings from home are not good enough. He needs to be more dynamic and flexible.
Boba gets into the game, and instead of inserting Sexton and run him off the floor, he keeps Dellavedova and Love on the floor.

Garland on Luka for some reason to start the 2nd quarter was mind boggling. Sexton who contests terribly and always too late on Luka to start the game..why?

Not coming with a gameplay to stop Luka by double teaming him, or doing something different to slow the Mavs down.

Garland gets hot in the 3rd, and again he subs him out at the 6:15 mark. Why? what the heck is he doing?

I'm frustrated with the lack of offensive sets and his rotations/lack of adjustments..to tell you the truth. I'm at this stage disappointed with Beilein unfortunately.
