Curious if anybody thinks JBB could have bested the Hawks in game 5 without Jimmy and Lowry? Spos did exactly what you should do and what we didn’t do against the hawks attack attack Trae

Hell no

I'll grant you Butler, but I'm not 100% convinced that the current version of Lowry being out actually hurt the Heat. Also, teams and players give up at a certain point in the series and Trae clearly did. If Hunter doesn't foul out on a really dubious call, I'm not sure the Heat close that series out last night. He came to play.

Now is the time to either ditch JB or let him resume his role as an Assistant Coach which is what he is. This team is too good for him and his coaching is far too suspect. I just don't see enough game-planning, strategy and innovation and I do not want this team to be squandered with talent level we now have. He's an OK head coach for a mediocre or lottery team - not this one.

If he remains HC I see us having a very lackluster playoff performance, and DG firing him at the end of the season anyway.

Bickerstaff deserves a chance with this team. 2 years in a row we saw offense we liked and then lost more and more playmakers and the offense was simplified.

They were running sets for 2 ballhandlers and then they couldn't. Health and JB running a longer rotation so guys don't get run into the ground are crucial

I think this year will be quite telling. He's now been given a hell lotta talent, so will he expand his regular season rotation (8 guys with 1000+ minutes played last year) or grind guys into the ground (like Coach Thibodeau)? Not all of it can be blamed on the coach, but there was only one guy who played more than 70 games (Love). If we want to go further, let's try upping the threshold...

The thing about JBB is you have to take the good with the bad. Yes, he sometimes has questionable rotations and in-game decisions.

But, he’s also the primary reason the team has such buy-in on the defensive end, including guys like Mitchell.

Having Okoro dribble the ball up the court when you have Garland/Mitchell/Levert on court is mind boggling

Gets a lot out of his team and clearly a good development guy. Maybe they can find him a strong tactical assistant that he is willing to delegate some to in order to cover up some of his weaknesses.

Were all three of them on the court?

You might want to go back and see who Okoro subbed in for.
