Aloha John Henson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think we trade TT because we have Henson and we think he is our center of the future. I think if we trade TT, we see the potential value in assets and having a core of Nance, Zizic, and Henson in place that can soak up the center minutes without hurting the development of our young players.

But why even trade TT? He's still just 27...

And none of those guys are as good as him. TT is by a wide margin minus Love, the best player we got right now.

He's one of the only really quality player's we got. I mean, I know we're fucking tanking, but man, getting rid of the very few quality players we have right now. And one that's locked up and still relatively young...

By all means, I'm interested in trading TT for real value. But I don't think he'd net real value, so he should definitely stay.

He was garbage last year, but he's revised his career and flat out balling.

I don't think TT will hold up with his milage and games played. We already saw what TT was when he isn't 100%. If we give him an extension, it will be a bad contract in not too long. I also don't think TT takes a pay cut so paying him 20+ million for more years seems crazy to me. The game is also evolving away from players like TT. I just don't see the risk equaling the reward. To maximize TTs play, we need 3 or 4 very good offensive players around him. I just don't see us getting to that point before he hits his decline.

Tristan the only player with a 20 PER. Second highest is Clarkson with a 17.8, Nance 16.9

Everyone else is in the 12s or lower. Sexton right now is still not a good NBA player, but hey, he's a rookie. He has promise.

WE got a lot of really, really bad players on this team. We cant afford to trade Tristan unless the deal is really good.

Not some Tristan fan, but he's one of the only quality players we have on this roster. He's locked up long-term, and is still just 27.

If we trade him and don't get good value back, then its a disaster. Henson can't fill his spot at all. Not even close.

Guys like Osman, Burks, and Hood are really poor basketball players. They're not good, at all.

When not just bad, we're lacking good players. Right now, we only have a few.

You can't move those guys when they're still young and locked up.

U don't you give TT an extension. We're not in that phrase. You definitely consider moving him, but the market won't be great for him. We're talking about a late first round pick kind of market, and that would be a shitty return IMO to get that back.

The guy wasn't healthy last year and was poop.

I completely disagree. The offense has always flourished with TT on the floor. Always has actually. We're always rocking 120 ORtg with him out there. So he's not dragging the offense in the mud. That's just a misconception. But he actually does a lot of things to help an offense.

You don't need 5 shooters. TT mixes actually quite well with this era. The game isn't evolving away from TT at all. In fact, its evolving more into his game.

We're not playing him at the 4. He's playing the 5 and is quick enough to defend switches.

That's the type of 5s you NEED in this era. It wasn't an accident we beat GS with him in the middle.

I’m anxious for him to get healthy and see what he can do, he’s been needing a new opportunity.

He rebounds pretty well, and blocks shots. He could give us a little bit of rim protection in spurts which is more than I can say about anyone else on our roster

I wonder how long this trade has been on the table. I thought Hill days on the Cavs was severely cut when Drew played him in those final minutes a couple games ago. The odd thing is that they haven't released a time table for Henson's recovery. I wonder if the Cavs asked the Bucks to hold off on a time table if we were possibly trading for him.

For the tank and developing Zizic, Henson might just get to recover extra long or the rest of the season depending when he is suppose to be healthy. My guess is we will only hear a time table if a center on another team gets hurt and we start getting trade call to see what we want for Henson.

I really doubt Hanson even suits up for the Cavs this season.

Though maybe if we're lucky they'll play MMMBop at the Q.

Hanson is a one hit wonder.

Henson is a NBA player.

Henson is expected to return after All-Star. That may play into trades - including the possibility of trading TT if the demand is there and the price is right.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb 7th. The NBA all star game Feb 17th.
Henson's return time is sometime after the all star break, but optimistically his return date was in March, realistically it's April. I don't see him pushing an aggressive time table to play for the Cavs.

He could be trade filler in a deadline deal. More likely he sits out the rest of the season and gets traded in the summer before camp.

The timeline for Henson's return is not yet clear, though he could reasonably be out until the all-star break or beyond as he goes through the healing process. The Bucks did not provide an official update regarding the veteran center's return schedule.

Certainly possible. Depends on what shape he is in and what happens. If someone dangles something really good for Tristan, they may enlist his help this season if he can play at all.

So what he is getting traded for? He’s a solid player, albeit at a position we already have a logjam at, and will be healthy most likely for a playoff run. Don’t see why we would keep him

Apparently Henson does indeed exist. He's also expected to pay tonight. Color me surprised. I thought he was a myth.
