Is that why they were doing so many stories about him? I like that they did that, show him thanks for being him while he was still here.

He will be missed for sure. Great coach, great commentator.

Retired with the best winning percentage of any head NFL coach aside from some guy from the 1920s. It's a record he still holds and will likely always hold...

...and that won't even be what people remember him for accomplishing. Amazing dude, impossible to not like.

Some know him as an super bowl winning coach.
Some know him as a great color commentator.
Some know him as the guy the video game is named after.
Some don’t even know the video game is named after him!

BUT.

There is no arguing that his last name is literally now synonymous with football for anyone under the age of 45.
