Hey the 2nd best Asian American NBAer after Jeremy Lin

The Lakers were setting a record, with about 5 players of mixed race, but they just traded us two, so I think they must have soured on that strategy. Now I guess it is up to us, to be the torch-bearers for the philosophy of "Let's everybody keep fucking each other until we're all the same color" - one which I whole-heartedly endorse.

This guy is gonna put on a show with us.

He is young, can shoot, dribble, pass, doesn't shy away, energetic, hungry, not a locker room cancer...

Not a great defender but of course much better than IT and will certainly fit and shine with LeBron.

Can he score and play defense better than IT? Welcome!
He's more of a replacement for Wade in his role off the bench.

Wade is an all round better player even at his age.

He's not a scrub by any means and is actually very efficient at scoring the ball. Every time I watch the Lakers I've thought "man, that kid really plays hard." He does take some unnecessary shots at times but shit he was on the Lakers.

Also, funny side note. I remember reading an article early in the year where Clarkson said he is playing better because he loves women and they don't "like you when you're down." Hah!

He's going to destroy so much NE Ohio vag...

He’s not inefficient

He can score
Needs to improve his three point shooting, it's down at 32% now. Even his wide open three point percentage is just 34.6%

from looking at his tracking stats it seems like the problem is pull ups. Shooting just 25% on those. He's much better on catch and shoots, at about 37%. I predict some irritation on this board about dumb pull ups.

I just like how he gets down hill and pushes the pace. With Hood and Korver he better cool it with the 3's off the dribble. I want to see him drive and kick and run the pick and roll with Nance. If he can improve his shot selection and pass more , that is all we need from him.

He's a mini Russell Westbrook.
This is a good way to put it.

Speed demon, loves to get out on the break.

He is a chucker. There will be moments of frustration.

But he fits perfectly with the "young, athletic, long" 2nd unit we're building (Clarkson/Hood/Korver-Cedi/Green/Nance). He can pass, and he's built for transition and pace, as is Nance.

He will fit what our team wants (running, pace) even though he can't shoot and he does chuck. I think having someone like LeBron around to guide him will bring out the best in him.

Not sure about the Westbrook comparisons... But, if he can maximize his potential, Clarkson could become a Reggie Jackson-type player. Speedy, athletic, and great in the pick-and-roll.
He has a ton of warts, but it isn't all bad. He has enough positives that he can be a real contributor if he's placed in the correct role with the right players around him. I really hope that's the case here.

Not sure about the Westbrook comparisons
JK, the only reason I went with that comparison is because Clarkson plays with abandon, as Westbrook does. Like "full tilt." Especially in transition. Full speed coming at you all out. So when @Kiddo made that comparison, it made sense to me.

Also, Clarkson is a chucker. Much as Westbrook is.
