So Long Jordan Clarkson ( aka Chucky McJumperson)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A funny thing about the title of this thread is that he's actually filling the role we wanted Jordan McRae for, an instant offense guard off the bench who could play some backup point and also play/defend the SG position. But he is WAY WAY better. Such a huge step up that we have him when we were groping with people like Jordan McRae for this role.

Love the length our team has now. Either Hill or Clarkson usually at the 1---both guys very tall/long for the position.

No more Livingston dropping 20 on us effortlessly...

He is either 1st or 2nd in off the bench scoring. He dropped that 17 pretty effortlessly. Didn't play outside of himself either or force anything. I think he has a lot of potential too as a do it all type of point guard.

JC’s future in the league could probably like that of a Lou Williams or Jamal Crawford, instant offense scoring guards off the bench. But he can also play a little defense too.

This guy is really talented. If he just never improves he is what saw today. His floor is pretty great. If he can learn from Hill and LeBron and Cedi, he could be a boss. We have him locked up for awhile. If he could improve, he could be a good value contract for a capped team. They are just not at that point for him in LA. He could be a steady infusion of points for the bench for years. Love how he pushes and live his swagger.

I mean if he takes the little brother role with LeBron and straightens out like JR did, we would really have something.
I can see it now. Maybe the guy just needed something/someone to believe in when it comes to realizing his full potential. I get it. Like why not enjoy the life of the rich and famous athlete if you're not trying to win a ring anyway. When you're surrounded by people consumed by the burning desire for a championship the real ballers (i.e. not Shump) let that other stuff fall by the wayside.

Just watched the highlights. Man, Clarkson blew that game open, with his aerial bombardment in the third. I'm secure enough in my manhood to say that I got wood. He's in the running for my new favorite Cav - besides The King, of course, who did the greatest thing a NE Ohioan can ever do...

But that was beautiful basketball, and our shooters were LETHAL. There is hope. Four games like this a playoff series, and Valhalla is once again in our sights!

Thanks, Lakers!

I really thought Clarkson was a hot dog but really I think he is a little bit dumb. If he falls into line Like
Jr did he will be deadly deadly.

Clarkson is streaky.

Ideally he can find more of a middle ground here.

When he's on he looks like one of the best combo scoring guards in the league but he is more than capable of some 3/13 and 3/15 type performances.

He's really a wild card this season.

If we get good Clarkson, like today, it will make us stupid good compared to the vast majority of the league.

Did you think he had more than one assist? I did. He got some hockey assists I think. Passing on this team is Jordans key to success. Penetrate and kick to Korver or good on the wrong or pass inside to Nance and green. Very simple.

Clarkson , with some talent to direct him , just like jr and Jeff Green, he will find himself more open than ever before.

Really same thing for Hood too.

I have no numbers to back this up but have always felt he’s actually a pretty solid open/spot up shooter like high 30’s...but when he starts bombing off screen rolls like he’s Steph Curry he can be super hit or miss.

Maybe he’s just 33% all around no matter what but I’d be interested to see his synergy shooting #’s.

This year, he’s shooting 37% on catch and shoot 3s and he’s a 41% career shooter on wide-open 3s. Hopefully he takes less pull up / contested 3s here than he did for LA.
