is in there against a right handed pitcher.. Damnit!!!

Hafner is...and he just hit a HR in his 6th straight game.

12-23 with 7 HRs..

thats just freaking nasty.

He should be the MVP, somebody should do that math and figure what his stats would be if he didnt miss time due to injury.

Baseball tonight or sports center did it the other night..

It came out to 37-38 hr and 115 rbi

If this team including Pronk would have hit the ball in the 1st 2 months of the season, he would have had over 30 bombs right now..

Plus, you have to remember, Victor was hitting in the low .220 or .230 area.. Hafner was getting walked in order to pitch to Victor..

Victor is providing very nice Protection from Hafner... Hafner is also seeing something like 25+ pitches a game, which is incredible..

Vlad was hurt for a while and he never dropped out of contention for the MVP. Hafner deserves it in my opinion, had he not been hurt like you said he'd be right there, and plus look at all the candidates teams...Red Sox (ortiz) yankees (a-rod) angels (vlad) cleveland 9 hafner) who has the best record of any team? hafner..idk if it counts for anything in baseball but if the cavs had made it in last year you can bet lebron would have beeen wayyyy higher in the votiing..

AROD is the MVP (he plays defense).. But hafner should be in there for sure as a strong canidate...

Plug any body in that lineup and they will produce.

I refuse to believe ARod is the MVP. Look at that lineup.

Regardless

Jeter
Sheffield
Giambi
Matusi
Posada
Williams
Cano

Those guys don't have those numbers and he does, so that was a dumb thing to say. If anybody could do it, everybody would do it.

Now you're knocking AROD and hid production... You are a classic.. It's okay to route and respect someone who is not the underdog.

Arod is a Hall of famer if he retired today.. He also is the 2005 MVP, anybody else winning it is a travesty Period..

Yep

Im not doubting he is a great player.

Im saying its unfair to say he is the MVP when his chance of success is far greater. Those players certainly dont have bad numbers.

ARod could go on the IR for 60 days and they wouldnt miss his production, i guess that is the best way to put what Im trying to say.

you gusy both got points here, imagine if hafner was in new yorks line up, now that would be very nasty.

the thing that cant be "calculated" is that hafner was in teh zone like he is now when he got hit.

reminds me of when thome broke his hand.

Okay I understand..

However that would have to come in other seasons.. Cause the way the Yankees were scuffling early in the year, and with not having True pitchers to count on..

AROD has carried them with the stick this season.. His glove work is second to none in the AL at 3rd base (maybe chavez)

But I can see your point.. Just not this paticular season (last year possibly)
