Jose Ramirez's Future IS Cleveland

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Griffey maybe.

1998 Sosa and McGuirre

Bonds definitely.

But on a Cleveland team? Only person even close was Manny, IMO. Maybe that 2004-06 stretch from Pronk.

He is unique in modern Cleveland baseball history. He came up through the system, developed into an elite star, AND was determined to stay in Cleveland even when the money was not the best he could ever get. Thome got a statue. He is getting one too unless he really goes off the rails.

Mike Trout has spent a lot of time being unstoppable and quite versatile as a player.

Do you think Trout is versatile? Really not being a smart ass, but doesnt he really only play one position? Sure he has been the best player in the Majors for a decade, so unstoppable i agree, both on offense and defense, but i dont see versatile but i really dont know baseball as well as other sports.

Maybe just semantics on my part? (not me joking, and not trying to be a jerk, he obviously is one of the few players better than Jose)

What are the requirements here?

Trout hits for power and contact and has speed. He gets on base at an obscene rate and he’s a gold glove quality outfielder (who hasn’t won one) at one of the most important positions.

To me versatile is playing multiple positions, he is for sure highly skilled, probably silly semantics us looking at it differently

I wonder what Freddie Freeman thinks about what JRam did.

Plus here's something else to ponder:
If Freeman stayed in the ATL, where would Matt Olson be?

I have ZERO doubt in my mind that IF Freeman had resigned/ stayed in ATL, the A's would have made the deal with CLE & Matt Olson would be in a Guardian uniform..

For all the happy-happy talk between Freddie and AA, I think in the end AA got what he wanted in the first place- a guy 3 years younger, locked up for less. All Freeman's agents did was give AA an easy out PR-wise.
