Jose Ramirez's Future IS Cleveland

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two things I wonder...

Will some of Joses desire to remain in this org forever rub off on some of the others?

Will players outside the org be looking at playing with Jose as a big selling point to come play in Cleveland?

MLB isn't the NBA, where we see players pick their own teams to play for, due to either wanting to play with friends or with other super stars. They even take less money to do so. Is it possible in some small way that it happens here?
It already did.. Myles Straw & his extension is a direct result of JRam signing an extension.

Myles said so himself when signing was announced..

From that article:

He knows that he left money on the table, but he says, '$150 million or $200 million, my life is gonna be the same. I'm happier with $150 million in Cleveland than $200 million somewhere else.’

I suspect if we had true, honest answers, there are other players who would say this, but didn’t do what they knew to be the better choice…for less money.

Jose Ramirez has single-handedly saved this baseball season for me. Taking less to stay where you’re happy - what a concept. Love me some Jose!

Since he is on a reasonable contract, still relatively young and having an MVP level season....what do you think his market value is?

Too soon?

Higher than what Dolan got away with.

Extremely dangerous every at bat. He has that Barry Bonds vibe now, simply unstoppable.
Oh, and he is dynamite on the bases and field.

Seems to have the right attitude too.

Gotta say that in my half century of fandom I have never seen anyone who really compares. Maybe prime Joe Morgan.

Griffey maybe.

1998 Sosa and McGuirre

Bonds definitely.

But on a Cleveland team? Only person even close was Manny, IMO. Maybe that 2004-06 stretch from Pronk.
