Josh Gordon discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just need to know...was Josh Gordon a good player? should I be pissed? lol
In one of the only seasons he actually made it to the field he led the league and was an all-pro on an otherwise pretty shitty team. And apparently by his own account he was high in some way shape or form for every game. Yeah, he was and probably still is damn good if he ever gets out of his own way. He's a physical freak.

"Rely on" Josh Gordon. Ahahahahahahahaha...

That said, this coming game against the 3-0 Fins is the type of game that the Pats win and even turn around their season on, although I suspect Gordon will have another inactive either from the ongoing photo-shoot hamstring injury, or from a "hamstring" i.e. Belicheat's doghouse.

Welp, he done caught himself a TD.

@Randolphkeys, perhaps this should be in the NFL thread now?

The thing that sucks is in a better organization....The Packers, Steelers, Ravens, Patriots....the like...I don't think he'd have been the guy we saw getting suspended 90% of the time.

Dude's probably in Pizza Hut commercials and being sized up for his yellow HOF jacket as we speak if that had been the case.

That's sort of insane to say but they just really a system of leadership and accountability in this places.

In Cleveland? Well we probably saw a snippet of it in how Hue was giving players off and acting like it was the 2nd coming of christ with Gordon coming back.

That's not healthy. That's not to say that it's NOT getting better. (The way Dorsey handled Kendricks, Coleman was a sign of this).

It's gonna suck because perhaps this is what Gordon needed all along.

What did we get for this guy?

Yeah, I’d rather see him be suspended and ride the bench for life with the Browns then see him turn into a top-end starter for another team.

Especially at his salary and for what we got in the trade.

Just so predictable.

With the game Gordon had tonight, we already lost the trade.

We should have made sure that if this guy was going to have a hall of fame career (or really any level of success) it was as a Cleveland Brown or in the Canadian Football League.

We had that option, but at least we got that late round pick...

The guy wanted out. He's a piece of shit. Plain and simple. Nothing we could do.

2012, 2013 were the two last years he played at least 80 percent of the season.

2012? Played the entire season
2013? Suspended for the first two games of the season
2014? Suspended 10 games, plus the team suspended for the final game due to breaking team rules
2015? Suspended for an entire season.
2016? Checked out of the team and went to rehab for the entire season.
2017? Reinstated, came back with 5 games to play.
2018? Fucked around before the Saints game.

That's about 5 years out of the 7 he's done this.

At a certain point...it becomes difficult for a team to continue being that patient with a player. Especially when he proves to be a distraction at a point when you're trying to create a culture here.

He’d end up a HOF’er if Brady and Belichick were gonna stick around another 5-6 years

Well early in the season but I would imagine it's between them, the ratbirds and the chiefs for the AFC Championship.

I'd throw Pittsburgh into this argument but they look off. That could very well change though.

He has a shot at getting a ring.

Question is...when the hell does Brady, Belichick retire?
