I wish Josh nothing but the best, both personally and professionally.

Not hating on the guy at all.

5th was always the absolute best case scenario and we got it.

Not sure why anyone complained about that.
I think people were delusional and expecting a return closer to his ceiling. But you have to factor in his floor, because one failed piss test and he's banned from the NFL forever.

Usually a practice squad player or 5-6th CB/WR special teams type player. It's not often you get anything of consequence later on day 3 (rounds 5-7).

inb4 anecdotal evidence trying to disprove that largely these picks are worthless

Usually the fifth is around where you start taking swings at guys who have the potential to be great but need a lot of development to get there. Or taking a shot on guys with personal problems who fell because of that (like when we took Callaway in the fourth).

Tyreke Hill was a 5th round pick. Selected by John Dorsey.

I know, but just because a guy hits on one dart throw doesn't mean he's going to do it every year. For the most part, guys drafted in the fifth and later never amount to much. Just the way it is.

Dorsey seems to be good at evaluating prospects but he's not going to hit on every one. No one does. Just gotta hope he hits more than he misses.
