The game is Wednesday, Jan 2nd at 8:00 p.m., and is being televised on ESPN. As an alumnus of KSU, I will be rooting for the Golden Flashes to pull off the upset. Overall though, it's nice to see a university from NE Ohio get some air time on a major sports network. Plus, it will be nice to finally see some of the players I am usually only able to read about.

In case anyone is curious, KSU is 10-2 and UNC is 13-0, and the point spread is 23.5.

I know this game is during the Cavs/Hawks game, but I hope some of you will flip over from time to time. :)

I'll be rooting for KSU hard-core, but why is this game televised? There has to be a better game on with more at stake than this.

^^^^Imagine if that were to somehow come true

I haven't seen too much of his game, so I'm looking forward to seeing him play tonight.

:shakehead I had a Montross jersey when i was 9.

FWIW, I believe Kent played Duke down to the wire in Durham last year.

Well, a disappointing result, but not a terribly surprising one. I was a little perturbed at the number of calls/non-calls that were benefiting North Carolina, but I guess that's to be expected in a road game against a team of that popularity. Also, I was getting a little annoyed at how often the announcers were bringing up the fact that UNC was "short-handed", and how well they were playing considering the circumstances. They were missing their backup PG and two other end-of-the-bench guys. Hardly a blow to a team as talented and deep as they are.

So, a little bit of sour grapes from me, but mostly it is jealously. UNC is a very talented team with some very good players, and I wish I rooted for a team that was in contention for a deep postseason run every year.

Oh well, here's to a MAC Championship and NCAA Tourney appearance for KSU!

ESPN has a contract with the MAC to air so many games each year, they get a match-up with a #1 team and it will be televised to complete that contract.
