Kevin Love is a cancer on this team.

Had floor seats last night and the dude has just quit all together. In no way should a team with young players have a player that gives as little effort as he does and has the poorest body language you’re gonna fine.

You got people bringing up Kyrie's years without Lebron. I rather deal with all the headaches Kyrie brings than have a player that pretends he's an elite player, pout like a kid and rarely shows up to work. On most nights,I forget Mr. Talc is on the team.

I'm confused as to why we should just not bring up Kyrie's years without LeBron?

Great! some defense!
If Love has to sit out it must be worse than what Achilles had to go through with the arrow and all.

Cavs are down 82-52 at the half.

Some defense.

Just for the record, I think there's a lot of legitimate criticism that can be made toward Love. I've also been disappointed at his behavior and lack of leadership this season. It strongly suggests that his politeness the last few years has come from a good PR team giving him input on how to act, that winning covered up a lot of character issues, and that he hasn't really matured much from his Minnesota days.

That being said, some of the hot takes here are cringe-worthy. Frustration with a player doesn't excuse a complete lack of objectivity. The team, as a whole, has tons of problems in addition to Love. With or without him, their defense sucks. It's a dysfunctional team from top to bottom, and they're not any better when he doesn't play.

It's coming to the point where I wish the Cavs made that trade. It may not fix the issues on defense but it will get rid some of the negativity off this team.

This is where ownership and Koby should come in and fix the problem. The longer Love is on the team, the longer stories about him not wanting Beilein will come out.

Wanting to get a first pick shouldn't be the reason, why Love is still on the team, especially when he made it very clear he doesn't want to be here.

Don't get me wrong I understand, why the Cavs didn't make the trade but still it's obvious Mr. Talc isn't happy here like he says..

Kevin Love (sore right Achilles) is probable vs. the Heat on Monday.
Love sat out Saturday's game, which was the second half of a back-to-back set. He's had his right ankle taped recently and the Achilles injury was first mentioned prior to the All-Star break. If it continues to linger, the notion of a shutdown will get even more unavoidable than it already is. Love's return would bump Larry Nance to a reserve role, though Nance can still put up solid roto numbers coming off the bench.

The guy has been a cancer since Minnesota. LeBron James put him in check and once LeBron left, the real cancer Kevin is back.He also is the one who turned the team against Blatt and got him fired. His bad energy even got LeBron to hate Blatt and that it was the end for him and LeBron got the blame when it was the scheming Kevin Love who planted the seed. Just look at how he got Belien fired by planting the seed and eventually got him fired too by convincing other vets. Bickerstaff is next in Kevin's quest for carnage out of boredom until he's traded. He made sure to behave a few more months to get that big contract.

Do you have any articles on this because Ill be shocked, if any of this is true. If,any if this is true, the Cavs need to cut ties with him after the season

So,Lebron took all the blame for Blatt's departure but not one word about Mr. Talc part in it. And,it look like he was throwing the team under the bus then...

He needs to be shut down just like JR and then traded during the offseason...I'm sorry you can't have a person like that on the team, especially a young team like us...

Extremely disappointed in his body language, effort, and just overall performance. There's a reason the Cavs weren't getting offers anywhere near what they wanted during last offseason as well as the deadline.

I know I'm coming off as a huge apologist, however the apology exists in his advanced stats. His PER is the highest on the team out of the players with a large sample size. He has the highest win share percentages on the team, and when you factor in win shares per 48 minutes at 3.0, ahead of both Thompson and Nance. His VORP is also highest on the team at 1.0, with both Nance (.5) and Thompson (.2) recently backsliding.

I have nothing positive to say about Love as a vocal leader in the locker room, but at the same time I feel like Cavs fans have yet again embraced attrition as an unquestioned positive. Clarkson wasn't helping the young back court get better with his tunnel vision, but in leaving he sure hasn't made the team better. Beilein contributed greatly to his own split with the lock room - something which has somehow become all Love's doing - yet the coaching staff doesn't become stronger by losing the guy with the best resume and creator of the playbook.

Let's pump the brakes a little. Love looked like he was struggling more than he has in a few months... and then the team announced an injury. Isn't it at least possible his achilles was causing him to struggle in transition and not his attitude?

Do not screw with an achilles. I would sit him for an extended time frame

The general issue fans have with him isn't him falling short as a vocal leader but that he lacks every basketball intangible you can think of as our best and highest paid player while his body continues to fail him. IMO he's content and doesn't mind the losing but just wanted to do it with the least amount of resistance possible. Blatt and Beilein had different types of red flags individually as coaches but both of them having issues with Love during two different points of the franchises trajectory isn't a coincidence.

Empirically THIS team is worse without him (no question about it) and in fact are unwatchable but it's pretty clear the FO regrets that deal as he was a terrible fit for their "reload instead of rebuild" strategy. Plenty of red flag commentary from several guys this season questioning why guys don't work hard during games.

When I sadly think about his contract but then remember how he finessed the team by wearing a construction hat when announcing it ...

He does not have an achilles injury.
Achilles is a great excuse to sit out as it is a lingering, sometimes chronic injury. Cavs and Love can milk it however they see fit.
League office can't do nothing.

I'm struggling to see the reach about Blatt and Love having some sort of major riff.

When Blatt said "me or Kevin Love", according to the article where that's the quote, he was specifically referring to who would be the fall guy for the Cavs.

The entire locker room (sans Kyrie, apparently) having issues with Blatt was much more of a LeBron thing than a Love thing.
