Maark did play well. That’s what they need from him.He played well yesterday! Finally knocking down threes

Last thing this franchise needs is to inject a head case like Simmons into this cultureNah, Lauri definitely won't be traded this season. He's a starter who just got here, and most importantly, WANTED to be here. You can imagine how jettisoning a guy like that would look to future free agents considering Cleveland as a destination.
Horrible optics. Sure... for some guys in the NBA, you can justify taking a PR hit like that. Ben Simmons is not one of them.
Just behind JaVale McGee.
In fact, 8 of the top 12 in PER are centers. There's only 1 guard in the top 16.
Finally??? He’s shooting 41% from three this season. He played well yesterday! Finally knocking down threes
Lol I was referring to Markk, not Love. Finally??? He’s shooting 41% from three this season.
A lot of people here were saying his calf injury was bullshit and Old Fart Colangelo fanned those flames.I thought it was kind of interesting what Pop had to say about Love and the olympics. Much different than the narrative of Love being a quitter.
''He was in a really tough spot,'' Popovich said. ''He did everything he could to be ready to go physically, but he got dealt a bad hand. Everything was so compressed. The NBA (season) went so long, and the Olympics started quicker. So, there wasn't as much time as I think he thought he had to get back to where he wanted to be. But he wanted it badly. He worked his fanny off every day to get that medal. At one point he realized there wasn't going to be enough time to do it. And then what he did was unbelievably impressive to me. I thought it took a lot of courage.”
You can say that Pop was just putting a good spin on it, but really its probably closer to the truth than Love being a bad teammate as many on here suggested. Sometimes we are too in a hurry to cancel someone because we think we know more than we do about someones character or the actual events that transpired.
If anything, Love is just terrible at self aggrandizement (not a bad thing) and that is why negative narratives about him are perpetuated.
I think Rubio's absence has affected his game.Love is now shooting 27% from the perimeter over the last 5 games.
As it happens, the Cavs are 4-1 in those games.
Kevin's PT is decreasing too. He's cracked 25 minutes just once in his last 5 games. In the 5 games before that, he averaged 30 minutes.
Not sure this is significant yet, but there's been good reason to expect Love to start running out of fuel at some point in the regular season. We may be seeing that now.
IMO he never should have played like 5 consecutive 30min games. Sure he was shooting well, but you've got to look at the big picture. We need this guy in the playoffs.
Not giving an ancient bench dude regular starter's minutes is hardly getting too clever with load management.I think Rubio's absence has affected his game.
I also don't think we're a lock for the playoffs. I don't count making the play-in tournament as the playoffs, so to avoid that we need 6th seed. Yes, we have that now and we have a easy schedule left but the East is competitive. If a player is injured or exhausted or needs an off day or fewer minutes that's fine but let's not get too clever with load management.
That’s why I don’t get why people get mad when JB plays every game to win, and people wants him to stretch the bench out to 11/12 players some games,I also don't think we're a lock for the playoffs. I don't count making the play-in tournament as the playoffs,
Actually Love was 27/59 from 3 for 47% in a six game stretch where he played 26-32 minutes. Not giving an ancient bench dude regular starter's minutes is hardly getting too clever with load management.
