Class move. Even ties it into mental health struggles, as well as the obvious physical health ones.

Dan already agreed to pay all team employees as normal, but this is a great extra gesture given that there will be additional hardships.

It was a nice move but don’t forget it’s 1/3 of 1% of his salary. About one quarter of play.

Some of you negative nancy-boys have to realize the other upper-level NBA earners are going to either decide they will look like assholes or do the same. This is one of the most intelligent social acts I've seen from a pro athlete in the decades I've been following pro sports, and if you aren't proud of Love for leading the way, you are a few weeks away from regretting you didn't appreciate what he has done.

"Worst case" is that he started a "one-upping" war amongst NBA players and we will see megastars eclipse his donation by an order of magnitude.

To be clear, I 100% agree with your post and am incredibly proud of Kevin Love.

Has any other player match it. The king ?

Love isn't a perfect guy, and has whined and sandbagged at times. But I think he genuinely tries/wants to be a good guy, and his conscience seems to eat at him when he falls short of acting properly. So he usually admits it if he's done something wrong, and tries to make up for it. It's his desire to want to be a better guy that makes him a good guy.

Giannis matched Love's 100K. Waiting on Harden to skillfully double that move.

Won't it be difficult for Harden to double the move with all the new restrictions on traveling? I suppose he could walk the check in.

I think I saw JJ Watt gave over $300k.

Yet on this website, Kevin Love gets...

SO MUCH SHIT!

I have to say the tone changed when Beilein got fired and we basically found out that he was constantly mad at the coach and not the young guys. His acting up made a little more sense in that context. Like most people read his tantrum on the court as against Collin, but in retrospect it was clearly Beilien he was frustrated with.

I see people still going with the Love hates Sexton storyline, when that was not apparent at all once Bickerstaff took over. Maybe Love turned over a new leaf, but I tend to believe him that it was actually Beilien because when he was doing damage control, he couched it as getting heated at the play call from the coach. He would have said something like, "I need to have more patience with the young fellas, but he thought his bad behavior meant he needed to apologize to the coach. That's a tell, and reporting since has really confirmed that the vets had no confidence in their coach. Bickerstaff emphasized pick and roll after Beilein was out, and suddenly both garland and Sexton's assists were up and bigs seemed magically happier.

Nance was the guy that was pretty clearly not enjoying the Sexton show, but he also seemed to come around by the time the sesaon was over, and I think it was because he was getting more opportunities with the way they were pushing the ball and playing pick and roll after Beilein's exit, as well as Collin seeming to see the open man better.
