I don't know what we think we can get for him with his contract and injury history.

Well, they still lost and scored just 87 points.

At any rate, I don't know what the deal is with Love. Niednagel is silent these days and can't offer any insight as to why Love isn't more like his "Brain Type" twin, Larry Bird. Love, additionally, is a heathen, and hard for Christians to root for.

I still have the Thunder, although they kind of suck, too. I'll see if Kevin's more wholesome Christian football lookalike, Cousins, can do better at leadership with the Vikings. If not, then, well...just a tough time for me as a "sportsball" fan, as the sports-loathing call us.

It just makes me cringe remembering that selfie Love took with the arena staff following his massive deal signing. He’s a fraud.

Hate to say I told you so. But this fake asshole has been playing a lot of you a long time.

TOLD YA SO! Ship this douchebag out.

I think circumstances change. It's one thing to beat up his body on a contender and playing a role that isn't perfectly suited for him.

I don't think Beilein has been using him right or even using him to develop the young guys. He is being used fill up the stat sheet while the team doesn't win. Last year when he was playing he was a key part in teach Sexton and opening up space for the offense. This year he is being ask to score out of the post and put wear on his body basically for nothing.

If the Cavs aren't looking to win or Love isn't being used to teach the young guys, what's the point of him being here.

I appreciate the fact that someone here isn't just doing that "Twitter-style Drive-by" analysis. I think Love envisioned a role he would play, and Beilein envisioned the same role. Then, one quarter into the season Love realized the things he liked were being de-emphasized and Beilein started leaning on his low post skills more. I personally feel like Love needs to sack up and do those dirty work type things in order to build his own value across the league. It's on him that he hasn't seen that step as a necessity. I still think selling low is a mistake.

I do think the ratios of things Love is being ask to do is all wrong to up his trade value. Compound that with the back problems and I'm not sure they are setting him up to get good value in a trade.

His low post skills are a complimentary skill that whoever trades for him will use here and there but won't be the reason why they trade for him. Rebound and 3 pt shots are what teams will want from Love. Rebound is on Love to work at to fill the stat sheet. Where and how Love gets the ball on offense is on Beilein.

I actually wish Beilein was using Love to teach the young guys plays. Things like pick and pop. Or have Love cut to the rim to get an easy layup. Or have Love make passes while guys slash to the rim.

Simply a dumb contract by the Cavs: he's going to be hard to trade and they had to know that this was going to be a possibility.
Even with his back he has decent value in the league but not with that contract

Thank goodness somebody showed up to RCF with more hindsight analysis. Love has the potential to provide more this season as a player and as a trade chip than letting him walk clean two summers ago. People are allowed to bitch, but a bad young team with cap space isn't doing much either. Look up the Jim Paxson as GM era.

It feels as if Dion Waiters and a pick is the best we could hope to get in return.

Rodney Hood just tore his achilles. It could push Portland to make a move. A move centered around Whiteside or Bazemore coming back while we eat Hood's contract plus picks or young players back.

Portland can take Jordan Clarkson for some coffee.

Those are fair criticisms of Garland and Sexton. Shouldn't be made public though, so it's a message to Koby that it's time to move on.

Love is a big reason that we have a title. He stuck around when Kyrie and Lebron didn't. He never had to do that. Love is gonna help this rebuild push forward and I'll be sad it's without him

huh? it's not hindsight when you never liked the contract to begin with. It was fine to sign but 4 year for that money at his age and injury history just didn't make sense. His trade value goes down due to the length of his contract

The plan at the time was to win and staY competitive and not do a total rebuild. That lasted about 10 games into last season before they realized that was not realistic
