Kevin McHale says the Celtics would be a good fit for Love.

I've told you guys before how Ainge is a Niednagel disciple (he consults Niednagel all the time), and Niednagel's Brain Type theory is high on Love. McHale is also a big supporter of Niednagel, and has been for years. Niednagel types Love as the same as Larry Bird, a #6 BEIR type; his BTI web site had an article years back on Love when he was with the Timberwolves, explaining that him stomping on Luis Scola's neck was typical of Love's brain wiring, which they say is also common among serial killers. Most fans are #13 FCIR and so they complain about his softness or lack of aggressiveness, which is due to Love's introversion -- but people of this #6 BEIR type can also reveal intense rage tendencies when angry, which Love admitted to in the past when discussing his mental health. I can guarantee you the Celtics have interest in him, would be able to understand channel his deceptively passive introversion in ways other people don't, and so they are very likely one of the teams trying to make a deal over the next few days.

What do the Celtics have that they'd be willing to part with and the Cavs could value in a Love trade?

Daniel Theis and Robert Williams III? How do you go about matching salaries?

Horrible effort in a winnable game. Bad decision making. That's going to poison the team if you can't get hyped for a game like that.

8 weeks to the deadline. If he really wants to get to a contender he ought to play like a role model.
Love sure isn’t helping his trade value any with his crappy play. I’m sure teams are thinking twice about taking on that contract, which looks more horrible by the day...

Making a trade work with the Celtics is tough unless they’re willing to send out Gordon Hayward, who has played well this year. Taking on Love for Hayward would seem to be a downgrade for Boston, as Hayward is also younger and signed for fewer remaining seasons than Love.

Boston isn’t trading Williams as he’s come on this year and looked good. We might be able to get Hayward & Langford for Love & Clarkson or Henson.

All I know is that Trader Danny will squeeze a 1st rounder out of the Cavs somehow...

I can't see Boston moving Hayward for Love. Doesn't make sense for them. Maybe a three team trade does it. Salaries just don't match up.

Most playoff contenders that might have interest would have to give up highly valuable rotation pieces by the looks of it to make the exchange so they all are wanting the Cavs to add a 1st not visa versa ,or the Cavs would have to take on long $ deals .
Portland still makes some sense even with Melo on the cheap since they have Whiteside and Bazemore both on overpaid expiring deals for matching purposes.
I think if they can get Nasir Little and 1 year of Whiteside for Love without having to send out draft assets to dump Love's deal they better take it and run. Little was misused at UNC and could break out similar to KPJ.
The other option I have seen that seems possible right now is Love to the Hawks who are trying to turn the corner or at least their pg is begging for win now players. Love for Chandler's expiring , the disappointing Cam Reddish and 2 seconds would be ok. Not sure I would do the Atlanta one though.
Love's market value is only going to get worse the longer this simmers.

More on a Love trade from Fedor. He again says the Cavs want or wanted a Harris to 76ers type of package, but conveniently fails to mention that Harris' contract was expiring and that he is FOUR years younger than Love. The FO can't be that out of touch can they?

He does admit that the market is weak though.
But according to a source familiar with Love talks, the market is slow right now and there’s “nothing cooking.”

Was the Tobias Harris package really that great? My guess is they are looking at it now vs at the time it happen. It's the Philly 2020 pick which most likely end up being #25-#30, the unprotected Miami 2021 which probably be #20-30 or #25-30 if Miami gets someone to pair with Butler, Detroit 2021 and 2023 2nd round picks which is just a roll of the dice, and Landry Shamet. I think it's a pretty good chance that Shamet ends up being the best player from that package.

I think it hurt the clippers that Harris was an expiring because I think Philly would have rather had him locked up at his age. It could have been a rental. Love being lock down has it positives and negatives, a team knows he is going to be with them for the next 3.5+ years. His age and injury history hurt his value but lack of a free agent class next year and teams being star pairings vs Big 3s might be worth taking a chance on Love.

Its two firsts. One of them unprotected in a year where no one knows what will happen.

Its one tjing if we got like, Milwaukees unprotected pick this year. We already know Milwaukee wont be anywhere near the lottery.

But even though they look good now, Miami 2021 is still an unknown. Jimmy Butler might blow out his knee.

So yea. If any team were willing to trade not one but two first rounders and one of them a future unprotected pick, Id take it.

That's true but that Miami picked looked alot better when they made the trade than it does right now. Miami didn't have Butler at the time and it didn't look like they had the cap space to get anyone. I'm not sure anyone could have predicted that Miami could pull off the trades they did to be able to do a sign and trade for Butler.

What I was saying wasn't that the Tobias Harris package wouldn't be enough for Love. I was saying that expecting that kind of return isn't ridiculous and might actually be attainable.
