If being on the Cleveland Cavaliers was just another season in the game of Survivor, Love would be that annoying guy who always whips out a hidden immunity idol (his untradeable contract) at the tribal council.

I read an article, last week, that talked about how teams aren't willing to take on that contract and plus he's an injured prone player.

I just don't understand why the Cavs gave an injured prone player that amount of money.

I’m fully prepared to be underwhelmed. I’ve gone on forums of possible teams interested and RealGM trade threads and non-Cavs fans opinions of a Love’s value is maddening lol

Resigning Love never made sense to me. I understand wanting to stay competitive, but Love wasn’t the type of player to lock up long term.

Get what you can for Love and move on.
Isn't the last part of this why it always made sense to re-sign Love? Retain the asset to be able to get something positive for him later.

Been reading articles saying teams want the Cavs to attach a 1st because of his salary and years left on his contract. If that''s the case think the Cavs should just keep Love.
Agreed. Unless a team gets desperate for first half scoring and are willing to forgot a 1st. LOL!!

Especially one who gets a double double every night. Frankly his contract vs his production this year is a lot better than a lot of bad contracts out there

Yep. It's the years not the amount per year that spook people. Maybe next year when it's 2 years left

I know he is not as plugged into the Cavs now that he is off the beat, but Jason Lloyd said today that the relationship between Love and the Cavs isn't that toxic despite his outbursts. It does seem like his frustration has cooled a bit or he is at least handling it better. Maybe he realized that a trade is unlikely this season so he might as well make the best of it.
