I hate to jinx us, but...

Things are looking up?
I'm listening to Fedor's latest podcast and he was talking about how Nance said that brutal 10-game gauntlet would have psychologically destroyed the Cavs in previous years but not this year. The players did not fold, they didn't point fingers, they stayed positive and mentally tough, and went on a four-game winning streak. The win over Philadelphia, with no Love, Nance, Drummond, or Delly, was "monumental" in that the young core players led the way. That win, especially after the losing streak, shows what this team will be capable of in the future.

The front office is pretty excited to see what they can do in the second half with Love and Nance coming back. The success they've had with Wade starting at power forward shows how much it helps the team to have a legitimate floor spacer and defender at that position.

With regard to Love, Fedor thinks he can have a significant impact if he's willing to "excel in a specific role" that might be less than the role he's normally played.

By the way, there are only four teams in the East over .500 and one of them is just one game over .500. The Cavs are only five games out of the #4 seed in the East.

Is Love really coming back though? Been hearing this for two seasons :(

I don’t really get the people mocking him for missing so much time with a calf injury, they can take months to heal.
He’s old and injury prone, this will be an on going thing as it has been since his arrival

I dont get the hate for him at all to be honest.

He gets paid allot, but we still acquired an almost 30 mill Drummond to see if it works, so Love isnt keeping us from making moves. He was part of a big 3 that won us a ring. He stayed loyal to the Cavs, thus he is the one that got paid, we knew it wouldnt age well, who cares its not our money and i go back to the fact he helped win us a ring.

If he wants to sit on the bench for the remainder of the contract, i could care less. For sure he isnt part of our future, so i dont care if he plays, but also for sure who was a big part of our past, and for that I will always love the guy.

Internet trolls furious that professional athlete is injured.

Could be RCF's headline everyday in every thread.
Yeah, I mean, if he was willing to play almost the entirety of last year despite a shit storm of a season, why wouldn't he want to play this year when there are actually pieces in place to have marginal success?

I don't understand when I see people acting like he's faking an injury. Why? So, he can still be on the sidelines every game? It's not like he's chilling at home.

He is legit cheering on the sidelines and showing up to every game. He is into this season. I am not sure if i was in his exact shoes i wouldnt just mail it in at this point. Think about what your job performance would be like if you made 30 million no matter what you did and you had his gf waiting for you at home.

I am not sure i would ever leave the bedroom.

I think my wife would be happy about the $30 million we just got, but not so happy about the other women in the house...

Tell her the model and the $30 mill are a package deal, she can learn to love threesomes. She has 30 million reasons to help her get motivated.

Lawrence - Office Space - What would you do if you had a million dollars? I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.

Calf injury is really bad.

I always wanted Lebron to have a minor injury just so the team could learn to play without him.

They really slid with Larry out, but they figured it out. That's growth, and if both Larry and Love come back the team should be significantly better and the bench should be good again with Nance holding it down.

Win wise it was bad, but development wise I think it is a good scenario. Even finding they didn't need Drummond was big imo. Love will solidify the 3pt shooting and Larry should make the bench formidable

I think the team finding success without Drummond is the real key. His attitude is shit, and I have no doubt that he thought the Cavs improved play was solely because of how great he was as a player.

Yep. He was just so big and disruptive. He dictated everything and it seemed to really hurt morale. Those last 3 losses after he stopped playing were impossible for them to find their footing, but the hard play is back. We should be encouraged with this group

He played in 56/65 games last year

And the year before that he played 22/82. He had an awful season for us last year shooting an atrocious 38% from the floor. Don’t think he’s putting in the off court work he should be.
