Wade showed up out of shape and dogged it in Cleveland. Not sure he has any room to speak of anything, and Love has won more than Blatt and showed his competitiveness on the biggest stage there is.

I'm really not interested in spending much more time defending a bonehead play, but it seems the people who are angry about this have been waiting to be angry at him for anything, and that's just weird to me.

Dwade was what, 35/36 when he came here? Kevin Love is only 32 this season and is in just as bad shape as Dwade was that season if not worse. Dwade shot 45% from the field with us that season, K Love is sub 40% as a big man. Dwade was making vet minimum not 30 million dollars.

It’s not like this is an isolated incident, he’s thrown these tantrums before. His effort has been consistently piss poor since he got here in 2015. If you’re being payed 30 mil per year get your damn ass in shape, do whatever rehab, yoga/Pilates you need to avoid injuries. Nobody can convince me Kevin Love is giving his 110% effort in order to stay in game shape.

I love to hate on Kevin love and this is a hatable moment but lebron would do this type of shit all the time during his run here. There were many times where he wouldn’t get a foul and spend an entire defensive possession complaining to the ref on the other side of the floor. And it would barely get any attention at all.

I can't even imagine the asset package that we'd have to surrender to rid ourselves of this contract. More than we could overcome for years, I'm sure of that.

Nothing personal, but the man is anchoring us firmly in irrelevance and will do so for another 2 years. This may be the worst allocation of guaranteed funds I've ever seen in Cleveland, sports or otherwise.

I've been in meetings all day. Finished up, big smile on my face, only to check Twitter and see this shit storm brewing.

I get it. We all get it. Love's fed up. But the guy's played half a season on a losing team (that he knew would eventually be a losing team at the time he signed his contract). This is the NBA, not grade school. This is a job. You're paid to maintain your professionalism and anything else is basic malpractice.

I mean, are we serious with this:

So, this is totally appropriate behavior now? "Good for him?" The whole world's gone mad.
Typical social media cringe for likes. Post-truth, post-accountability society. Love’s just like “why am I even here maaaaaan?”...but you better keep cutting his checks because #FuckBillionaires Am I right?

Didn't Love do something similar last year that folks thought was directed at Collin but was actually directed at Beilein?

It's odd that we've seen more tantrums impacting the games from Love, and he's supported, than KPJ, and he's lighting up Houston.

Of course Love's FG% is lower, he takes mostly 3's.

I think it's weird that people act like Love's injuries are his fault. Why didn't D-Wade get the same vitriol? He missed a ton of games with injuries in his 30's and ended up getting out of shape and bought out by two different teams.

People bitch that Love lost all that weight, but that was an attempt to improve his body and stay healthier. His back is in shambles from his years as a pudge banging around in the paint.

Love and KPJ are not comparable situations at all. Plus, KPJ is lighting it up in Houston? Since when?

Really? It's not that deep, man. They're playing a game.

He was pissed at the refs, tried to give the ball back to the refs. Dumb move since he should have realized it was technically an inbounds pass, and refs love technicalities.

Moving along.
When millions of dollars are bet on every game, when fans are spending hard earned money and time, when arenas are being subsidized by tax dollars, it is that serious.

I'm sorry, but this actually made me laugh out loud.

It's a game. If you take it as more than that and think guys are pieces of shit because of how they play the game. That's on you.

I have all three of the big three on my man cave wall.. to varying degrees of... should I still have them up?

LeBron the least amount of angst.. I'm not a fan of him leaving like he did for the big lights of LA with nearly zero communications to our city and fans. Also find him a tool because he spoke like was home and was retiring here, and we all know now that was marketing BS. But ultimately, he brought the first title in my lifetime home and so he gets a lifetime exemption from whatever butthurt I may feel. He stays.

Kyrie and his shot.. I've had to listen to him shit talk the city, and our fans, and just be a total douchenozzle since he left. I can't stand Kyrie the person, but I've long since decided that shot belongs to all of us. He doesn't want it anyway. So he stays.

Kevin is making it hardest of all for me. Always hurt, dogs it too often on defense, and these periodic moments of pure idiocy. I admit to not watching the game and thus not understanding the context.. and if was refs, it alleviates his behavior a bit (would be far worse if directed to teammates). But let's face it.. he's soft, physically and mentally and it sure seems like at this point in his life, he's just collecting paychecks. I won't lie, it does piss me off something fierce that a man could make that much money and not be 100% devoted to the source of that money. He quite clearly is not.

Kevin's not off my wall yet, but he's teetering. Not that he gives a shit I realize :chuckle:.

Love is an NBA Champion. We wouldn't have won in 2016 without him. We would have won in 2015 with him. For that Cavs fans are forever grateful.
But those days are gone. He signed the extension to be part of the rebuild. But he is too fragile physically and emotionally for that job.
I think a buyout after the season is the only option.

I wasn't able to watch the game last night but saw the tweets so I figured I'd pull up the video today..

Geesh... that looks...... bad. What the heck? Temper tantrum or not he's 30+ years old and is supposed to be the 'leader' of this team. That's quite the example for such a young team.

Buy him out. It sucks that we will take a hit, but its clear he doesn't want to be here, and I don't know anyone that actually wants him here either.

Here’s an extended clip.

Big time bonehead play.

I think Love realizes the writing is on the wall and that physically he just can't do it anymore.
That frustration is playing out in real time. The Cavs never should have extended him beyond 3 years...
that guaranteed 4th year makes this a real disaster. For Kevins legacy and the Cavs fans sanity its best
that Love and the Cavs part ways after this year. I wouldn't play him anymore this year either.
