Love was an odd choice, not sure racism, but atleast a dozen black players are better fits than 2021 Love. Ayton was just one of them.

The Fab 5 made 2 NCAA finals with a team of all freshman starters then sophemore starters it was impressive,

Rose played 13 years, was 6'8 could play the 1-3, could shoot, drive and pass. Scored over 14 points a game for his career, 4 ast and 3 rebs. Good shooting numbers for his time. Scored over 20 points a game in several years even.

He was a horrible defender though because he put no effort on that end. In fact, Rose was the main scorer for Kobe's 81 point game, lol

Rose was a good player, not a HOFer by any means, but Webber and Howard can both make it, so the fab 5 was legit for sure.
I’m not arguing in support of Love. I like abusing Michigan and ESPN.

The Fab Five were way, way overhyped. Good but their accomplishments didn’t match the advertising. They were hyped at least as much as the Heatles but never won a championship. They weren’t as good as the Houston Cougars with Hakeem and Drexler for example (ok they weren‘t underclassmen but they were better pros). They weren’t even the best Michigan team of that era; that honor belongs to the team whose head coach was fired by Bo right before the tourney and then won six straight under Fisher to win the title. Virtually all of the Fab Five’s accomplishments were vacated anyway due to the Martin scandal. Their blatant cheating robbed Ohio State & Chris Jent for example of a Final Four appearance. So Jalen Rose and the rest of the so-called Fab Five can go **** themselves.

I feel better now.

The Fab Five ruined shorts. There I said it.

I think he'll see quite a bit of burn against teams with bigger guys.

Draymond isn't the defensive rebounder that Love is, and neither Green nor Adebayo are the outside shooter that Love is. Team USA generally gets as many shooters as possible on the court.
This was always going to be the "asterisk Olympics," even more so than either this or last NBA season, especially with Japan ending up at the bottom of developed-country-vaccine-distribution and being in the Asia-final-COVID-wave, so whatever happens with Love is what it is.

The Heat have a fever,,,and the only answer for it is Mr. Kevin Love. Keep Sexton and deal Love for Dragic and Iggy contracts.

Dragic would be a good vet for both Garland and Sexton. He played in a small guard duo and trio in Phoenix, he could further teach them how to co-exist.

Also do the Heat really have a use for Sexton? They already have Nunn and traded for Oladipo. Trading Herro would further making them a smaller team.

We can maybe flip Iggy to a 3rd team.

Edit: just realized Iggy and Dragic have team options for next year. I can only see them wanting Love if they want to resign Nunn and Oladipo, otherwise they will probably just decline the options and go after a free agent.

Agree. Love is the back up option if the heat did not get someone they like in free agency.

Also if they do Love of Iggy and Dragic, and the Cavs just don't pick up either of their options then the Heat can resign Dragic for the MLE. Essentially it would be trading Iggy for Love.

Report out today by Sam The Bullshit Whisperer states that the Blazers, 76ers, and Clippers are interested in exploring a trade for Love

My guess is the Cavs would be a 3rd team in some larger trade taking back expirings or bad contracts or just undesirable players and Love gets ship to one of those teams. We get a late 1st round pick or young player in return.

Love makes sense for all 3 teams. Lue only likely using played he has experience with so I can see why the clippers wants him. He can help the Blazers and 76ers with more shooting.
