I dont see that pick as having much value. I would be shocked if the Cavs even got close to losing that pick this year. We're going to be bad. It's essentially just 2 seconds.I think it helps us that the Pelicans now have our pick. They should be a team that will be wheeling and dealing. Really our 2020 pick has the most value to us. Its a weird asset because of the protections and this year is the year it either conveys as a first or two seconds. It could end up back to us in some sort of 3 way deal.

I just cant see Brooklyn giving up LeVert and Allen for LoveI thoroughly love Kevin Love, no pun intended. He's my favorite player on the Cavs...
With that being said, I do think this is the year he eventually gets traded as long as he stays healthy. As I'm looking at this Caris Levert extension, I have to wonder if Brooklyn ends up being a possible destination perhaps at the deadline or even next summer (when KD is fully healthy again).
The reason I'm looking at it is because there is clearly a big void at PF on the Nets. They have DeAndre Jordan and Jarrett Allen in the post, but both are true C's and have no business even toying with the PF position.
My question is.... with LeVert's contract now up to $18 million a year.... do you guys think the Nets eventually try to package LeVert, Jarrett Allen, and a flyer to the Cavs for Love? And is that something the Cavs would even entertain?
I like LeVert... Ohio kid. 18 ppg last year. Borderline All-Star in my humble opinion. Can play the 1-2-3.. Allen is still very young and making great strides. Both would be welcomed additions to a young, rebuilding team.
Just rambling thoughts, I know.... but anyone else think this is something the Nets might aggressively pursue? LeVert's new contract gives them leverage to match salaries with another highly paid player.

injury prone 31 year old All star vs 25 year old borderline all star + promising young centerI don't know why they wouldn't. Love is an All-Star when healthy, and looks to be in phenomenal shape heading into this season. Brooklyn is obviously in championship mode, although NEXT year when KD is fully healthy is probably more reasonable to have title expectations.
Golden State paved the way for a "Big 4" to win titles. Curry, Draymond, Klay, Durant was a pretty insanely good 4... Kyrie, Durant, Love, DeAndre is also very solid in it's own right and would be the hands down favorite to come out of the East.
End of the day, Brooklyn isn't loaded with assets or possess great/trade-able contracts. If they wish to pursue another big name guy, LeVert and Allen are about the only two assets teams will be coveting going forward.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Kevin Love’s incredible summer isn’t all about touring the country, dressing like a cowboy, climbing mountains, riding horses and flying helicopters. It’s also about preparing for the 2019-20 season.
Love, who has taken a prominent leadership role during this post-LeBron James rebuild, is organizing a team minicamp in New York next week, league sources tell cleveland.com.
Love did the same last year, hosting teammates in Miami and carrying on a tradition that James started years back. It’s a way to gather the many new faces for a series of on-court workouts and plenty of team bonding ahead of training camp, which will officially open with media day on Sept. 30. Even though Love didn’t join the Cavaliers in Salt Lake City or Las Vegas during summer league, he has been in touch with new head coach John Beilein and various members of the staff, which shows his commitment to the organization.
Cedi Osman and Matthew Dellavedova, two players participating in the FIBA World Cup, will not be in New York, where Love resides during the off-season. The other members of the Cavs, including three first-round picks (Darius Garland, Kevin Porter Jr. and Dylan Windler), are expected to attend.
James held players-only workouts before training camp during his four seasons with the Cavaliers. The workouts have become commonplace in the NBA.
Love is coming off an injury-plagued season. In 22 games, Love averaged 17.0 points and 10.9 rebounds. He shot 38.5 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from 3-point range.
Glad to see Kevin step-up.
It's his team and he is taking ownership over the development of the young guys.
Being the best version of himself. No drama. Just putting his ludicrously good looking head down for some work.
Weird to say about a 30 year old dude, but Love has really grown into a leader. It's a big reason I just want him to retire a Cav.
