Kind of shocking to me that KLove is higher then Kyrie. No one can deny his first so many years here KLove was used horribly. Also surprised Kyrie is tied with Varejao. How much does rebounding factor into this?
Kyrie being a negative defender plays a lot into it (along with Andy having pretty darn good defensive metrics). Rebounding and overall game impact plays a lot into it.
Kyrie was a dazzling offensive player in Cleveland, but look at these numbers:
Kevin Love TS% in CLE: .574
Kyrie Irving TS% in CLE: .561
Kevin Love PER in CLE: 20.1
Kyrie Irving PER in CLE: 21.3
Those are both pretty solid overall offensive metrics to look at, and Ky and Love are both about neck and neck. Factor in both being relatively poor defenders and Love being an elite rebounder, and there you go.
