Kicked Out of the Hall of Fame

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bill Bradley, like Randolph said, was never his teams best player. He was never close.

Check out his advanced stats... he was a break even or (barely) negative "Value Over Replacement Player" his entire career.

Nah no way. Reggie wasn't GREAT, but he was regularly his teams best player, and his team made the playoffs basically every year.

Bill Bradley, like Randolph said, was never his teams best player. He was never close.

Neither was Mo Cheeks. They were never their teams 2nd best player and its arguable if they were ever even 3rd.
He just had a long career of never being one of the top guards in the league. I found this article that has some of the reasons he doesn’t belong.

The Pacers’ guard NEVER made a first or second All-NBA team in his illustrious 18-year career. Some of the names whom people thought were more worthy of the accolade: Kevin Johnson, Dale Ellis, Mark
Price, Tim Hardaway, Drazen Petrovic, Mitch Richmond and Rod Strickland to name a few. All were good players, just like Miller, and none are worthy of Hall of Fame recognition, just like Miller.

I'd kick Jerome Bettis out of the NFL HoF.

Being above average and being able to maintain one's health long enough to accumulate stats is not what should get you into the Hall.

Both Drazen Petrovic and Mitch Richmond are in the HOF. Tell them to kick rocks too.

Petrovic was a mistake in the article, he made it because of his interanaltionail career. Richmond was voted in after the article was written and was better than Reggie.

Kicking out

NFL- Gale sayers 145th in rushing. I think he more so got in because of his college resume.

NBA- Bill Walton- get him the fuck out he got in because of his teams and college

baseball- Rollie fingers- 5 good years. Yeah fuck off with that.

Bill Walton and Sayers both got in for the same reasons - enormous talent that was dominant when they were healthy, but careers ended by injuries.

Sayers was five times first team All-Pro, and scored six touchdowns in one game during his rookie season. He really was incredible. He put lots of guys on the ground without even touching them. Just watch him - I think he belongs. There's this move he does at around 1:40 on the sidelines...it's like he moves his legs out of the way to make a tackler miss while his body keeps going straight. Dude was a freak.

I think the people arguing for him to get the boot haven't watched him, and aren't considering his numbers in the context of the time he played.

Walton's peak was shorter, and I don't think he was at Sayers' level. Just one truly great year. I'd agree with booting him.

I would kick Drew Pearson out of the Pro Football Hall Of Fame the day after he gets inducted just because it means so much to him and he would throw parties every year waiting to get the call....

Would be kinda funny to just kick him out a day after...

I agree that sayers was an amazing player during his peak. But it just wasn’t long enough. You shouldn’t get into the HOF because of 5 great years and what could have been.

Ray Guy needs to be kicked out. He is a punter for God's sake!

EDIT: Not only that, but he doesn't even rank in the top 50 in yards per punt.

It's not like he was just a flash in the pan and a "what could have been." It's what he actually did. How many other running backs made first team All-Pro 5 times, even in much longer careers?

How many other runners scored 22 TDs in a 14-game season?

Actually, I think 5 years as the best running back in the league, not just "great", should be enough.

Jim Brown is the only guy to do better.
