Cavs trade Drew Gooden, Shannon Brown, Cedric Simmons, Ira Newble's expiring deal, and Damon Jones for Jason Kidd and Malik Allen (works on trade checker):

Why it works for the Nets:

They get a big man who can rebound
They get our two high-upside players
They don't have to take on a Hughes/Illgauskas Albatross (only Damon Jones has a bad contract, which is manageable and expires after next year)
They get younger

Why it works for the Cavs:
Jason Kidd, dumbasses. We lose front-court depth, but Andy should excel with more minutes, Kidd allows us to absorb the loss of Brown/Jones' minutes easily,

And if we still have him, you're crazy if you think Gibson is starting instead of Hughes. Also, if we Trade Gooden, remember that Varejao is going to opt out after next season, so we will Trade him sometime soon after this year. I don't wanna deal with Anderson, he thinks he should be paid Kobe Bryant money, the guys an idiot. Well no, his agent is, but whatever. I'm keeping Gooden, unless I can keep Cedric Simmons so we can at least know we have a guy we can throw in there that is young, and can rebound along with blocking shots.

Before I didn't care for kidd as much as others because he was sooooo bad shooting the ball. However after seeing Larry shoot and get hurt, I can settle for a triple double guy who might not shoot like Mark Price.

I think the nets would want more than Ira and Damon Jones. We should let the new squad gel a little before we opt for trade, since the first game out there was pretty good albeit against the Pacers. But I wonder if we would do Larry/Drew/Ira, for Kidd and one of the young forward centers (Boone or Williams). AV starts in that scenario, and I am not sure how we can fill in the minutes with a Boone or Williams effectively, but the money is there if we wanted to head down that road.
