Since the Bulls landed the first pick, I would think they would pick Rose, and since Hinrich is locked up forever I think they would be fine in dealing him especially since he had a pretty bad season last year. I think Hinrich would be a great pick up.. hes very effective running the pick and roll and has a nice 3 pt touch.. as well as a nice driver.

can you imagine a Kirk and LeBron pick & roll :king:

Any ideas on trades?

PG: Hinrich
SG: Mike Miller
SF: LeBron
PF: ??
C: ??

We'd have 3 usa basketball players in our starting line up :)

I'd welcome a true PG like Hinrich here - I'm not sure how feasible it would be, but we do already have a history of dealing with Paxson. The Bulls have a ton of questions to address with their roster this offseason.

I signed on today to mention this specific player so I am glad I am not the only one.

Hinirich has a large contract and plays the same position as the guy they very well might end up picking as the number 1 pick in the draft.

If we were to throw them some expirings I bet they would bite just to get rid of the money owed to him plus give room to D Rose.

I still think he is a great fit here because he plays defense and can d up 1's and 2's and he is a good passer and good shooter minus last year. I think he would also be a great match up with Boobie and Delonte because Kirk can play both 1 and 2 on offense allowing Boobie to stay off guard and when playing with Delonte, Delonte could handle the ball....all the while on Defense kirk can defend the bigger player

I think this could be one move of a couple to really solidify our line up. Kirk Hinirch and Jermaine O'Neal added in just like W/G said and we will be winning titles...hahaha A guy can dream right

That sounds great, but you have to remember that both West and Gibson are RFA. They will need contracts soon. Their agents will probably drive eachother's prices up as they want Starter-Money....or close to it.

If those too get starter money, then adding Kirk to the mix with a big-ass contract might mess our cap up. Plus we got sasha. And we might have to resign Devin Brown. And will we still have DJ?

I dunno, but somebody has to figure it out.

good points...I was assuming that both would get midlevel or lower money most likely a little lower

The thing I wouldnt mind about Krik is his ability to play the 1/2 so you could consider all three opitions 1/2's making them just 3 guards and not just 3 point guards

But you make a good point

I 100% guarantee that a Hinrich, Ty Thomas for Sasha, AV, 2nd round pick in 2011, 1st rounder in 2022 will happen. My sources tell me that Gilbert will also include a 12 of Great Lakes Winter Ale to sweeten the deal for the Bulls.

This deal works out for everybody. The Cavs get a true PG and a replacement for Andy.

The Bulls get 2 future draft picks (possibly LeBron jr. in 2022!), a young SG to spell Hughes, an energetic inside presence in Andy, and a six each of tasty brew for the Paxson brothers to get loaded and make outlandish trade suggestions during the wee hours of early summer.

This is a guaranteed, 100% fact going to happen.

^ Apparently after repeated attempts to resume his illustrious posting career on RCF, Heath has stolen _amon's password and graced us with his presence again!

The #1 pick going to Chicago is a godsend for us in terms of getting Hinrich. He will be alot more expendable even than before.
But I dont see him making an impact without a PF aswell...

pg-Hinrich
sg-WHO GIVES A SHIT
sf-LeBron
pf-EB
z-Z

Im drooling at that lineup....

GIT ERR DONE FERRY

You know what? The more I think of them 3 together, the more I like it. Here, just think with me for a sec...

We would have three good players that can play either PG/SG (Boobie as more of a SG). And we depending who else is on the roster, and who we would be playing against, we could move them in and out of both possitions to better match up, and give us the best chance to win.

PS. I never really paid attention to Kirk, so can you tell me if he can defend the quick slasher PGs like Rondo or Parker?

It always annoys me when people refer to him as "Curt Hinrich". You'd be surprised how many so-called smart basketball people actually think that's his name.

I had a long rant about this back around the deadline when his name was brought up. My rant then followed by several posters headlined by Max and Pip throwing out every wrong variation of his name they could find.

I dont think he is a super defender but he was the guy that the Bulls were turning to to lock up the better 1 or 2 that they were playing...

I think in our system Captain Kirk would be a good fit. He would have to rediscover his jumpshot though cause he had a bit of a rough season there. Which might come a little easier getting all of the wide open looks people in Cleveland get.

I thik he is a guy who helps hide Boobie on defense as he can take the bigger guards and try and beat up on the little fast guys....But are there any people in this league that can D up guys like Nash, Parker and CP3...not really

I like the idea of Kirk....but that contract is scary looking. As big as an addition as he may be, do we really want to lock up $11mil per on him? I don't. He doesn't excel in any single area. In all honesty, that may be one of the worst contracts in the league....

As much as I hate to say it, whatever moves we make, we 1st need to try and keep lebron happy, but 2nd, also be smart as Cavs management. LAL (life after Lebron) can't be filled with high paid role players. Then we would be the Bucks.

Again, this is why Mike Miller is the best option. If Lebron opted out, we could either ride Miller's contract out for a year and let it expire, or trade him as an expiring contract.

You mean 10 mil, then 9.5 mil, then 9 mil, then 8 mil? It's kinda like Wallace's contract where his money goes down overtime.

Is 9 and 8 mil really that much for hinrich? He has a 6 to 2 assist to turnover ratio. This would add depth to our guard spots as well.

Mike Miller will be 9 mill next year and then 9.75 (a little more then hinrich, but basically same). You trade for Mike Miller, you'll likely have to take on Cardinal or another bad contract. I don't know that we would for hinrich, seeing as they are the ones in need of getting rid of him.

I worry he'd get Championship syndrome and realize if he made his jump shots we'd win a ship and he'd just keep missing and keep missing like any other shooter does when they get here.

I give a shit, I don't want Billy Thomas starting at SG.

I love everything about Hinrich and there aren't really huge concerns I have about him... His penetration skills need work and he lacks the quickness on the defense end... Other than that, the only other problem I see is his slump last season... I'm not sure what it was from or why it happened...

The thing is, what would Chicago want? They took the two pieces they liked most on our team in the trade for Ben Wallace, what else would they want? I think a deal that could be real intriguing would be Eric Snow + Sasha Pavlovic... Depending on how they value Hinrich and what they want for him, it could possibly happen... Snow's contract is expiring and if they really want him as a coach, they could have full rights to him without having to bid against anyone else... Sasha would also give them a nice piece on the wings, especially if he can bounce back...
