Kobayashi Sets Hot Dog Record

NEW YORK -- A 160-pound wonder from Japan set a new record by devouring a sickening 53¾ frankfurters in 12 minutes to win the annual Independence Day hot dog eating competition on Coney Island.

The feat earned Takeru Kobayashi, 27, his sixth straight title in the event, held at the original Nathan's Famous hot dog stand on Brooklyn's seashore.

That's insane..almost 54 dogs in 12 minutes, thats more then 4 hot dogs per minute bun included I guarantee he spends the rest of the day on his back and tomorrow morning the shit of a lifetime :chuckles:

I'm impressed by Chestnut moreso than Kobayashi.. of course this skinny asian man is ridiculous in his ways... but he's been blowing away competition for the past few contests, by at least 20 dogs.. now he's got some heat on him, this will make it interesting.

I would assume he intentionally throws it all up after each match. Otherwise, yeah, he'd be hurting real bad for a couple days.
