Boston Would be in great shape With Sexton. they might still be in the playoff if they did not make that trade .
I'd love to have the real scoop about what happened the past couple of years. No way Boston wanted all those picks. I think they tried BPA too and completely failed so they have too many guys that don't fit.
Guessing nobody wanted to deal with Ainge.
In sales the Presti method is called the WIN win. You win, but I win bigger.I think teams got scared off from the medical stuff Boston tried to hide from us with IT. Add in the trade down to get Tatum and how bad that ended up for Philly. They gave up the Sacramento pick to move up 2 spots to draft a bust while Boston still got the best player of the draft at #3. The Garnett and Pierce trade to the Nets was very one sided too.
Boston really only been able to do some small trades for the last couple years. Trades that don't make or break a team and won't get a GM fired. GMs probably don't want to risk their careers dealing with Ainge when there are 28 other teams they can deal with.
Like I pointed out how well Presti has done with his trades and being able to string them together to keep getting more assets. The thing with those trades is other teams are still happy with what they gave up and don't feel cheated. Presti's chest of assets is built from good evaluation and fair trades while Ainge's feels like a con artist was able to pull multiple jobs to get those assets.
THE CAVS HAVE TREATED PLAYERS Like irving and wade very good kyrie wanted to go to boston Wade was given the chance to go back to Miami.you do not hear of bad vibes with the way the cavs treat players .Kp and jr smith were given a chance when no one wanted them .

Did Draymond say anything about the Lakers benching Drummond's ass for the entirety of game six even after Anthony Davis exited after five minutes? He is entitled to his opinion, he talks to & kicks other players around the league, he is cerebral and well informed, so his insight is valuable. However, Drummond was unwilling to adapt his game, unwilling to come off the bench, unwilling to compromise and ultimately it gave him a DNP-CD on a must win game during a contract year. You don't????
I'm not saying I agree with any of this, but I've heard a lot of "bid vibes" about the way the Cavs treat players from other players. Draymond went on a long rant about how badly the Cavs were treating Drummond. Others have mentioned them hanging onto JR instead of cutting him loose. And no mention of this topic would be complete without bringing up "the letter". While I'm guessing many current players have never heard of it, pundits still bring it up when referring to how Gilbert is seen by players around the league.
Supposedly Ainge isn't satisfied with getting a deal done that helps his team, he needs to win the deal entirely, and the rest of the league knows it so they are less inclined after all these years to work with him.I'd love to have the real scoop about what happened the past couple of years. He stepped down once he realized he was the impediment to helping the team. Harsh
I was listening to the Woj pod and he said that Boston has been trying to trade Kemba. He brought up Kemba's knee issues. It got me thinking that could have been the wall Ainge hit. I bet no one was believing Ainge on Kemba's medicals and were treating Kemba as a sunk asset with absolutely no playing value.
Don't teams get to do a full physical on a guy before the trade is finalized anyway?
Technically, yes. But trades get announced before they're final. Think about the Kyrie-Boston deal. We got IT and *then* found out the seriousness of his hip injury. Since we can't put the genie back in the bottle, we got an extra second round pick, but IT hasn't been the same since. Considering how much Kemba is on the hook for, I can't imagine teams wanting to even engage them with Ainge there.
