Do you think Houston regrets trading for Kevin Porter Jr?

Nope. They are also 1-5 and don’t have anything close to the energy or trajectory that we have. Let’s take the best locker room atmosphere in the NBA right now and add a 19 year old kid who exposes himself to women including employees of the org? Sounds like a terrible idea to me, hard pass.

On the KPJ situation, I think we sent him to Houston deliberately. Their close ties to figures like John Lucas must have made Koby feel they were the team best equipped to give KPJ the help he needed to let him get his life in order. Remains to be seen whether that proved to be true or not...

No - because his ceiling is being a good player on a bad team, and they're a bad team. So why not have him make flashy plays and try to keep some butts in the seats while they lose? With the contract to which they signed him, they can ditch him as soon as they think they're otherwise ready to turn the corner.

I will be interested to hear more about his story. He may have been sexually abused as a child and that does make people do some unusual things like opening your trench coat to women. I dont know enough about it to pass judgement, but he might be worthy of a second chance as far away as possible from Texas.

Yes. This is the big problem with sexual abuse to children. If you burgle someone, that person doesn't become a burglar. When you sexually abuse a child, that child has a nonzero chance of becoming a sexual predator. How do you stop that cycle? People who haven't been abused can't fathom it, so coming to grips with the fact that victims become abusers is very difficult.

People end up just being in denial and it festers

Primo could also be lying about being a victim in the past and having mental health issues in order to play the victim after what he is accused of.

At the time I made this thread, I was definitely getting ahead of myself. This team was still in its early stages of rebuild.

Since making this thread, Koby traded scraps for Jarrett Allen, signed him to a team friendly contract, drafted Evan Mobley & now traded for Donovan Mitchell.

He'll finally get the recognition he deserves by winning the EOY if this team keeps playing the way they are.
