Awfully quiet in here.

I think advancing probably has saved his job but that's assuming Mitchell signs an extension.

I do think there will be pressure to fire JBB. This is basically the ceiling with JBB, the Celtics series will show that. I'm not sure what they do if Koby doesn't want to fire JBB and Dan Gilbert does.

Boston series is no sure thing for him. But now he knows he has a fighting chance at least. A sweep?? Gonzo. A surprise win? He's back.

Does Koby have total authority to hire and fire coaches or does Dan have something to say about that?

I think Dan Gilbert will now have more to say about it since he is back more with the organization this year. I think Koby had a lot more authority when Gilbert got sick and it was a reason he got elevated to president.

He is more publicly involved now but I’m not convinced Koby had authority to fire JBB a year ago with Dan’s signoff.

I also think keeping JBB another year was not as obviously a terrible decision as some have portrayed. FFS we kept Hue Jackson after 1-31.

Seems odd for some to be mad about not firing JBB a year ago the day after we win a Game 7. Then again if there’s a public hanging scheduled in the old West and it’s called off a lot of townsfolk were disappointed. People love to watch somebody get whacked.

I'm okay with whatever Mitchell wants. If he wants both JBB and Koby gone? See ya.

If he wants them to stay, I'll begrudgingly be fine with it.

How did Leon Rose build a better team than Koby Altman?
