Former 1st overall is on the block in LA. I think the cavs could us him for the long haul. He is an athletic PF,C that could play with Z and then take over Z's role when he retires in a couple years. We could move dwayne jones to power forward and then constantly have a dominate center on the floor whether it be kwame or z. I know that he has a rep of being lazy, but he is young and is out there in LA with mr. me me me kobee. I think playing with a lebron and being involved in a new defensive system could help kwame out. Hey MJ saw something in this kid back with the wizards. I would be down to take him with the rookie crittenton or farmar. Or we could work out a 3 or 4 way trade. I bet that he gets dealt at the deadline with the emergance of Bynum. I think that we could buy low and potentially have a jermain o'neal type player for a cheap trade.

I live right outside of DC, and have seen Kwame since he started out his NBA career...and he sucks and is soft as hell. Avoid like the plague.

Well living in Southern California, I watch the Lakers play almost every game. I didn't watch him much in Washington so I won't comment there beyond the fact that we all know he was a huge bust for them. But in Los Angeles, Kwame definitely has a huge place on the team. You must look past the fact that he is a former number one overall pick to realize he is a solid player. He is probably their best big man on the ball defender. Like Gooden, he has his lapses with help defense, but he is very tough one on one in the post. And while he may have been physically weak when he came into the league, Brown now plays pretty physical and he is a fairly tough guy on the blocks. He has built up his frame and definitely is pretty strong, strong enough to guard most power forwards or centers. Offensively he is still very limited, i.e. he has no moves in the post, but he doesn't try to do too much. He knows his limitations and is very efficient. He is, however, a good rebounder when he sets his mind to it. All in all, I think Brown is a great big man to have off the bench. He is versatile in that he can play two positions, he is big and athletic, he defends pretty well and he rebounds pretty well. I'd definitely take him, although I don't know what we would have to give up for him. He is an ending contract, so I doubt they would want salary back unless it was a more talented player (which we don't really have unless you want to trade Gooden for him - I probably wouldn't). Our ending contracts certainly wouldn't get it done because he's one himself. They don't have many bad contracts to get rid of. So basically I don't see a fit.

Kwame Brown? We already have enough stupid and low IQ ball players as it is. Sorry but I have to say no.

Like James, I too live outside of the DC area and watched pretty much every home game that the Wizards played while Kwame was in uniform and I can tell you that he has the IQ of a meat lovers pizza. I have no idea how he is performing in L.A. and I don't care and I also don't want to hear a word about his potential. He makes Gooden look like a member of Mensa and what he lacks is something that cannot be taught. Forget it!

I think Kwame has become a better player and developed his game a little since going to LA. He also seems to have accepted his role better too. He has had injury problems though.

He could at least be a decent backup big man. Don't see him becoming a Cav though. If the Lakers trade him it will be to add a pretty good player where they can use Kwame's ending contract in the deal.
