Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Cavaliers @ Lakers 10:30ET TNT

Thats what seperates bron from kobe....

luke jackson should average 25 minutes a game while hughes is out.

Re: Cavaliers @ Lakers 10:30ET TNT

I'd give my left one for Mihm and Smush back no jokes...

I would do Damon for Smush and Drew for Mihm, gimme the paper sign me up.

Conveniant how LeBron picked the best time to have the shittiest free throw shooting night of his life..

Luke > Sasha..... All day everyday, KARMA....

Tough loss last night, but it's one of those games that you have to tip your hat to the Lakers. Z was phenomenal, LBJ was good, Drew and Snow were pretty solid and Luke better have earned SERIOUS minutes with Hughes out of the line-up.

I don't want to complain, but when has a Cleveland team won a game on a last second shot? You know if the situation was reversed Kobe or whoever would have canned a shot at the buzzer for the win.

we don't need no fair whether fans here. none of us are feeling good this morning after a tough late night.

that was a game that should've been in the win column. make a few free throws and kobes last minute heroics are in garbage time and Lebron and drew and z are sitting on the bench soaking in the celebrity sun. instead, we slink off into the hollywood night to enjoy l.a. with a loss. it leaves you gagging on that lump in your throat down in your mouth.

on the positive side, we see how easy it is to beat l.a. at home. obviously we can beat them we just let the game slip away. and the refs did not help. but we had to deal with jet lag and the pressure of being on an extended road trip, hotel food, private jets, autograph seekers and all of that grief.

it was good that kobe hurt his hand because that kept him from shooting so much. he probably would have missed those last three shots if his hand was not banged up. plus he was tired from all those shots he took the night before in a losing cause in portland.

it is hard to beat a team on the road when that team has a superstar and a winning record and the refs on their side. the refs don't want to look bad in front of the celebrities. we would win more home games if we had more celebrities in c-land.

the criticism of Lebron was unwarranted. he is younger than kobe and therefore i conclude that kobe should be better. Lebron is getting valuable experience that will enable him to dominate for years. look at his allstar vote total! and Lebron is playing with a rookie coach still trying to shake off the lethargy of paul silas, while kobe has a multi-year coach who already knows his game and lets him shoot as much as he wants. Lebron would be leading the league in points scored if the cav's coach wasn't holding him back by making him share the ball and go for triple doubles. yes, that triple post offense of tex winter works great when your superstar shoots all the shots. that's what the bulls did.

but even though we lost, we showed that we have a more complete team because we lost by only one point with a player averaging more than sixteen points per game sitting on the bench in a sweater and civvies. if you add in hughe's scoring average, we win by fifteen points, which is very impressive on the road, thanks to ilgauska's season high.

I am with oot on this one .. sort of. Excellent teams finish the game and make free throws.

But Lebron, Z and Goober carried the team today with a cameo from the future Luke. Snow did his job too, its just tougher to give him credit.

Damon, Donyell pretty well choked it up. Pavs wasn't ready for his opportunity, and Wilks is what he is. AV may take away Marshalls minutes the way Marshall is playing.

The good news? We did not chuck up a bunch of threes (11) and we got the Rock to Z for 29 points. That should have been our game plan and it should have worked. To all y'all bitching about rookie coach Brown, he had a good game plan.. the right game plan, but his team could not do it. Somebody made the comment in another thread that the fifteenth player does not matter, but in this case our 6 and 7 guys did matter.

It should have been a win but there were some positives last night. Nice to see Mike Brown give Luke a fair shot. There is no reason why it shouldn't continue every game from now on. Jones, Newble and Wilks played a combined 46 minutes last night and combined to score 0 points. Jackson has to play. He's produced more in the minutes he's been given lately than these 3 vets.
It was also nice to see Brown get the Cavs to limit the 3 point attempts and get the ball inside to Z.

Snow did a very good job on Kobe last night and had a solid all around game. It's too bad he wasn't asked to continue to guard Kobe the last 2 minutes of the game. Why LeBron was put on him at that point I'll never know.

Nice games inside from Z and Gooden. Marshall was terrible. He's got to quit hanging out at the 3 point line almost all the time and get his 6-9 ass inside more often. What happened to the Marshall with the versatile offensive game we saw early in the season?

Nice to see Sasha at least get on the court although he looked tentative again. It was stupid to put Varejao in the game the last minute of the 3rd quarter. Bizarre time to give him his 1st minutes of the season. He looked completely lost defensively too.

LeBron had a good 1st 3 quarters but was terrible in the 4th. Bad D, Bad turnovers and missed FT's ( which also occurred earlier). LeBron is great and played well most of the game but it was a choke job in the 4th by him.

On the replay of the game's final play you can see Jackson wide open for a 17-18 foot jumper. I admit it would be tough to give him that shot to take but it might have been better than a forced shot in traffic.

Good game to pick that LeHate. Sasha's first game in a month or so. Nice work.

Sorry to come in late on this one, but I didn't get to watch the game till last night (tivo). I will keep it brief, as all the comments I would add have already been made by others. Anyway, this is the first loss of the season I've watched that I actually didn't want to puke afterward. There were many positives. I will briefly list them since they've already been detailed, but here's what I liked:

* game plan to go to Z
* game plan to not chuck a million threes
* game plan to injure kobe again :chuckles: jk
* The reserves getting minutes. Lebron getting a couple extra minutes on the bench.
* Jackson's coming out party (although I wad peeved when he was sat down, when he obviously had a hot hand)
* Good performances from the guys we count on regularly: James, Z, Snow, Gooden

It's unfortunate that we didn't pull this one out, as W's have been hard to come by with Hughes out, and they're not going to get any easier on this road trip, but at least we played well. If we hit free throws we win. That's something you can normally improve.
