Stevens needs minutes if he does like this. But on Markkanen: as long as he is such a net positive on advanced stats someone else is losing minutes. It somehow seems opponents never get extended runs with Markks out there and thats how Bickerstaff have him on big minutes if his offense aint complete poop on some nights. In those games he has also been sitting more in the 2nd half.

Finn's case is weird. His offense blows on most night, yet the team's O. rating is the highest when he's on the floor, higher than with Garland by a good measure. I don't see what he does there. I was always of the opinion that 3 7-footers lineup adds to the defensive side but D. rating is pretty bad with the Finn on the floor.

I wonder how far along would Stevens be right now if he didn’t have the concussion that knock him out of the last 10 games or so at the end of last year, no doubt there was 30 min or so available …..He mention it’s all about confidence, during the summer league I think he was trying to hard to impress, but those 10 games or so could have relaxes him even more coming into this season…….

Don't forget he got the concussion because he hit his head on the backboard. Wow

Damn is he jacked in that still image above. He seems kinda "stocky" to me now, like he can afford to drop 20 or so. With increased confidence coming out of this season, an offseason program might do even more wonders and we see an entirely different player next year.
Wait - he has a 41" vertical???

Yeah, he was a four year college power forward who never developed any perimeter game. He didn't dribble, pass, or shoot outside of 18 feet. But the physical profile is right there with a lottery small forward.

I give Stevens a lot of credit because he is a completely different player offensively now than he was when we started this thread. That guy put in serious work!

One of his cousins is a seal trainer at the esteemed Atlanta Aquarium. He visits during offseasons and his cousin puts him through the same rigid training regimen that he does with his prized five month old seals. He eats, sleeps and re-ingratiates himself with the seals each off-season.

Lamar credits it for his increased pliability, incomparable stamina and his unique ability to hold his breath underwater for increased periods of time.

Dude can't fucking swim. I'd bet my fucking life on it. It was believable till end and then you blew it.

Calls em as I sees em.

His neck is so tense he can't even turn his head sideways in order to breathe during freestyle. The best he can do is the doggy paddle which he was taught in the "Paw Sanctuary" where he also learned how to bark and adopt a dog mindset which he has taken pride in and embraced dog's mission to teach others the same principles he was taught in Brunei.

That's the true story.

I'm wondering how many of his teammates said he's the "heart and soul" of the team. And what is JBB going to do if he keeps throwing down 17-23 per game until Okoro gets back. Put him back on the bench?

According to the unwritten rules of the NBA... yeah, probably. You generally don't lose your starter spot due to injury if you're not out for like half a season. But if a losing streak follows soon after, that's a perfect time for the coach to "try something different" and insert the dude who played well earlier into the starting lineup.

Ego juggling and managing player & agent relationships is an important part of coaching in this league.

Creative but fake news.

He is so in tune with the seals that they carry him through the water. Gladly.

It is interesting. Lauri has an excellent plus minus, and you can see he tries hard and does a lot of little things on the court. With that said, I’d like to see his stats when he’s not on the floor with Mobley/Allen/Garland, whether that plus minus holds up
