Basketball reference and NBA.com break down efg% by shot type and distance.

But I don't need stats to tell me Cedi is a layup god.

He takes way more difficult/contested layups at a way higher rate than either Okoro or Stevens.

Really his ability to make contested layups while running full steam is legitimately special.

Lamar DeRozan for the name haters

His defense gives us such a huge boost that is not appreciated enough. We really needed him during that losing streak. Had he played, we win at least 2 of those on the road.

His pace is just so smooth

He's playing great. I don't believe the+-. Must be that Charlotte game messing up the stats

If he can knock down that corner 3 consistently you can get a Battier/Bowen/Posey like career perhaps…

I’ll take it back another decade or so— Stevens reminds me a lot of Bryon Russell…

Man Lamar has come a long way. I remember when he was a disaster at almost everything on the court. Now he has the third best mid range game and is one of the better overall defenders on the roster. It's a shame both LeVert and Wade needed to get hurt for him to play.

Bowen or Russell on this team can get you a title despite their offensive shortcomings. So many good wings in this conference which is why you need a player of this pedigree to compensate for Garland and Mitchell’s mediocre defense .

He needs all Okoro’s mins going forward. Not gonna pretend like he’s an all star, but he seems to know what he should be doing and he plays a lot less scared than Okoro.

I’m sure I’ll hate him in a week and regret this post.

He rebounds the ball and he's not afraid to attack the rim when presented. He won't always finish, but he's not gonna just be terrified when the other team leaves him open.

Other thing here, importantly, is that he's a vet minimum contract while Okoro is now a 8 and 9 million dollar a year player.

Lamar, being better than Okoro, is a valuable player to have on a roster at 1.7 million a year. Honestly I'd say a really good job by Altmann finding him. He's better than a majority of vet minimum players in the NBA, I have no doubt.

Okoro at 8 million a year? Not good.

It's why I'm hesitant to just toss Stevens into a trade.

It's gonna be hard to find someone who can produce like this at a contract this cheap. And as far as I can tell, his contract is already guaranteed next year at 1.9 million.

If you trade him and some other guys for an overall upgrade, you're gonna have to fill out the vet minimum spots and you probably won't find someone as good as Lamar.

8 of his last 19 from 3P

Not on even medium volume yet(although he did shoot 5 tonight!), but still good to see and hopefully not just a short outlier trend.
