This season has not gone as expected but Lamar deserves his own thread after tonight's game winner.

He plays hard and I can respect that.

I think he is limited but you can do worse at the end of the bench than a guy who is going to give you effort and hustle.

While he may be a little limited he does have a mid range game and he plays hard. He’s also very athletic. He really could develop into a nice bench piece during this rebuild.

Did somebody mention Lamar?

He is really explosive and really strong. Good defender and fearless. He’s basically a taller, older, Okoro without the security of being a draft pick and the luxury of having time to develop. If he develops a reliable shot he will hang around the NBA for a while and make a very nice living.

I like Lamar, can defend, plays hard, rebounds. He needs to work on his 3, but as an UFA he has shown me he deserves a spot in the NBA. Sure he isnt much more than the guy that plays when someone is hurt, and not sure he ever becomes more than that, but this is the type of guy you fill that role with.

He basically single-handedly made Penn State competitive as a basketball program, right?

He has been impactful. Lamar plays it cool and has great defensive instincts. Needs to develop a 3, but his mid range seems to be sick????

His mid range game tells you he has potential as a shooter. Will he be able to transfer it out to 3pt range? will he develop as a ball handler? those are two big question marks that will make him a rotation player on a decent team.
