Lamar Stevens is an athletic Paul Pierce without a jump shot

I can't decide which is more disrespectful. This take or the 2 dunks on Chris Mihms in this video.

I am impressed with Lamar Stevens. Defense, rebounding, energy, help D, cutting off the ball, mid range game. Just develop a 3 point shot during the offseason and he has great chance to succeed further.

I would give Stevens a start over the smurf. Time to try different alignments with Sexland.

I don't think Stevens helps much in the starting lineup. Garland and Sexton need a shooter to keep defenses from clogging driving lanes. If we are starting Nance and Allen, we already don't have much floor spacing. So I don't see how bringing in "taller Okoro" does anything to fix the problems the O.G. Okoro creates on offense. I think we have to go back to starting Wade and playing Nance at the 3. I'm not convinced Wade is starting level pf, but I think sometimes the whole is better than the sum of the parts. It is pretty clear that for some reason we played better when he started. Let's see if it was a fluke or there is something to it.

I'm wondering if we draft a legitimate 4 if that sets up a domino effect where Nance gets bumped to the 3 and Okoro or Windler to the 2.

With each performance like Friday’s, Stevens continues to earn Bickerstaff’s trust. And with the small forward spot currently in flux — Windler on a cold streak, Cedi Osman continuing to struggle, Taurean Prince sidelined with an injured shoulder — Stevens gets closer to having his two-way contract converted, something sources say has already been discussed. “Being in my position, coach called me in and to do any job is an honor,” Stevens said. “Just do it with pride. I’m really confident in my scoring ability. That’s never really wavered for me. It’s just continuing to grow my game and I can’t really put a cap on that.”

well all that trust must have gone out the window overnight because he didnt play a second today

This is my biggest knock on JB, this guy played a great game on Friday. Then doesn’t even get a minute on the court the next game. Meanwhile Cedi can be trash all season and is still our 6th man off the bench. As a player that must be really demotivating

These last two posts hit the JB nail right on the proverbial head. Makes no sense and he has to be the most demoralizing person to play for. And I’ll bet he doesn’t communicate a thing privately to them.

Outside of Dotson,JB seem to give veterans way too much leeway but have no problem to benching or not playing any of the young guys.

I don't understand this logic at all.

not sure we have to pick one or the other. Stevens is simply older and has years of college experience at a high level. Okoro does not.
Okoro will improve as he gets stronger and hopefully gets into his proper position. If Stevens improves his 3 pt shot we could have quite the steal on a undrafted free agent. Good pick up by Koby. Stevens also seems to fit the culture of hard work that sexton, okoro exude
Yeah , that last sentence.. Okoro also fits that description.. however this draft has a few 6'8" plus players with 3 point range, and a couple guys in the tournament are playing their way into that conversation.. I think it's very possible we draft one of those guys..
