They're going to the AFC championship for 2nd year in a row. Who cares if Burrow is 1-4 against us in the regular season? Until we make the playoffs again, we have nothing to stand on

That has nothing to do with them owning us which was the whole point. Joe Burrow is 1-4 vs The Browns. We're talking about The Browns vs the Bengals. Not The Browns and The Bengals vs the field.

We're talking Browns vs Bengals. Joe Burrow has played us 5 times. He's 1-4. What does his record against KC have to do with his record against CLE? Nothing.

Ok, let’s talk our division. We haven’t won a division title since 1989. Can’t remember how many times we’ve finished last.

We’ve won 1 playoff game since we came back. Burrow is now going to his second straight AFC championship game. Again, we’re trash.

We’re talking about Joe Burrow vs The Browns. That was the topic. Not every team in the AFC or every team in the Division.

A post was made saying that we have to deal with Joe Burrow and we’ve played him 5 times and won 4 of those games.

That has nothing to do with the other teams.

Browns' opportunity to take advantage of a rebuilding Steeler team and an imperiled Raven team is narrowing and fast.
I think that played in to the Watson/Mayfield swap happening when it did, because 2021 was an absolute setback.
I can understand not rocking the boat after making it to the Divisional Round the season prior.
The Browns lost a season not just because of the cost of acquiring Watson, but also not having given Woods the BOOT and addressing the defense.
Now they have to do this.

I like the Browns chances against the other AFC North Teams with a full offseason to do what needs to be done. Already Woods is gone and replaced with a superior DC in Schwartz. That's half the battle. Next is to make the Bengals the "Cowboys" of this division. The matchups get no easier but the Browns have a couple of things in their favor. the Watson investment will truly pay off next season.

Hmmm

Pretty sure I strongly disagree with this point.

We have finished higher than 3rd in the AFC North only twice - 2002 and 2007. Let that stat sink in…over 21 seasons we finished in the top half of a 4 team division twice.

What does that have to do with Joe Burrow's success against CLE?

I didn’t say anything about Joe Burrow…

You were responding to somebody who was moving the goal post to make a Joe Burrow comp.

This whole conversation started because people were trying to make Joe Burrow the boogeyman yet he has had very limited success against us which with all due respect does not make him the new Big Bad.

Neat. I was simply sharing a not-so-fun fact about the Browns incompetence in the division standings, which was directly related to the portion of the post I was responding to.

I didn't realize this thread was entirely dedicated to the Browns vs. Joe Burrow discussion - I thought I was in Landscape of the AFC North thread. Carry on.

Yeah that loss on Halloween really set the Bengals season back…

Since Burrow has come in to the league, he’s won the division and made the AFC championship game in back to back seasons.

The Browns have made the playoffs once, finishing 3rd (twice) and last in the division.

The rest of the division is not afraid of us

Ok. He's 1-4 vs The Browns. So what has he done to the Browns that makes you think he's such a roadblock?
