Lauri has now made 9 of his last 20 three-pointers. That's 45%. He's coming around.

In eight January games he's shooting a robust 48.7% from the field and 37.5% on threes. That's the guy we traded for and gave a contract extension to. I think he's starting to relax and feel comfortable here. That fact that he took a very big shot without hesitation last night and swished it shows how confident he is feeling.

There were 5 seconds left on the shot clock when Marky released that shot, so he could have easily kicked it back to Garland to take that shot.

Yes, the Motti tactics wrote the text book on how to destroy motorized forces too dependent on roads. In 2003 I was very concerned about the Iraqis being able to pull off the same thing during that big dust storm.

Luckily the Iraqis are notoriously inept.

I think the battles that don't get the recognition that the Mannerheim Line battles do are the ones late in the Continuation War.

The Battle of Tali-Ihantala saved Finland and was a clinic on how light infantry can defeat powerful armored forces. The StuG's delivered right before the battle were also decisive.
