I'd say it's pretty unlikely given his current role at both ends of the floor. But damn I loved his game vs. the Jazz. Keep it coming Lauri! I couldn't help but smile when I saw him chatting/joking with Mobley on the bench with a big-ass grin on his face. He's in a good place now, and so are we (Finnish NBA fans). I'm loving this team's unity so much. No problem waking up in the middle of the night watching these guys play for each other.

What do you guys think about his passing game? He's not Jason Kidd alright, but he gets more assists here than in Chicago. Also when a Bull, some fans really took a dump on his BB IQ and passing game when the team wasn't winning, which was often, and in my opinion not fair or justified. I think he's shown to be a good passer for a big man. The current offensive scheme with moving the rock around definitely benefit from the PG/SG days he spent as a teenager.

I dont think he is being used in his ideal role as a SF. He isnt a good passer which you like from a SF, but his shooting is coming around, he is getting better at using his size advantage and his defense has been pretty good considering he is playing out of position.

What I truly love about Markkaden is he always gives 100% effort on both ends and never sulks even if he misses a few shots. Many players let their defense suffer when there offense is off, but Lauri is just hard playing basketball player that leaves it all out on the court every night. I love that about him.

On a slightly related note, the NBA chided the Kings for playing "Cold As Ice" against Russ and the Lakers.

Markk didn't care, he just played through it, no one complained, and I'm pretty sure some of us thought it was funny.
And he was the opposite of that against the Jazz.

Some people, I tell ya what.

Do you guys think that 3rd quarter looked bad from Lauri?

Yes he did not touch the ball at all. Spurs actually left him free because they noticed that Lauri was somewhat invisible to Garland.

Probably not ideal, but we won. They will watch tape and work on it. Garland has said he prefers passing to scoring, but with four guys that need fed, his plate is kinda full. He has a lot of decisions to make at once for a 21 year old point guard.

Great thing about having a 7 foot shooter is he doesn’t need any space to get off his shot. That 4th qtr shot he had a guy collapsing right to him and he just shot right over him.
