LeBron-Cavs 3.0: The Return of The Return?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't want him back. I actually stopped watching Cavs basketball since he was back on the team. Watched the Championship year and after that i was done with him honestly. Lets try and build a team, not cater to Lebron GM.

LeBron cannot be happy in L.A. He just can't. The Lakers are 31-40 and on the brink of elimination. The roster is in shambles. The organization is in shambles. Lakers Nation's take on Bron is "you'll never be Kobe." They're not even the most popular NBA team in their own city.

Checking in on my idea a few weeks later. I can't see L.A. landing anybody of note in free agency, not with all this organizational turmoil. I also can't see Bron being happy about Magic up and leaving on the Lakers. And I'm not sure Bron is going to want to waste another season of his career in the toxic dump that the Lakers have become.

Bron returning for Round Three is still a longshot, I admit. But it's less of a longshot than it was 24 hours ago.

Seems crazy to me. He returned on his own terms. This would be with his tail between his legs. He isn't going to do that with Dan in the picture. I could see it once the contract is over.

I could see a one year "goodbye and thanks for the statue and retiring my number" tour after the LA stint.

Could you imagine Lebron's regular season defense at the age of 39??? I mean, would he even get past center court or just cherry pick like half the guys at the Y?

A classic example of " the grass is not always greener"

Ironically, the grass really was always greener in Cleveland over Southern California until this year. The drought killed every yard the past eight years... unless it was some rich asshole over-watering in Beverley Hills. Anyways, I digress.

I see him just randomly wandering around the court and occasionally yelling at a younger player in a "get off my lawn!" kind of way. Sort of like Uncle Drew except real.

If that happens, I hope like hell its in Miami rather than Cleveland. After all, he won two there, and only one in Cleveland. Let them waste an entire season just to feed LBJ's ego. I'd rather just watch basketball.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah..... no.

Thanks for the memories, LeBron. Come here on retirement day, but the Cavs will need defense if they want to be in the playoffs again. still cookin' off Kuzma pushing him in position to defend.

In hindsight his big mistake was not doing another 1+1 and then waiting to see what happens. If he wanted to be in LA, Clippers would have had money this offseason and a much better roster to fill in around him.

After being ruthless with the Cavs he got weirdly sentimental with the Lakers and gave them ALL the power over him. I mean, they could trade him to a sucky team to get Zion Williamson or something. They won’t but they could. And then he would still be locked up for years on whoever they traded him to!

I wonder if it was Magic who talked him in to that. Well guess what, turns out Magic wasn’t locked in even if Lebron was LOL. Now Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis own his life!

The basketball gods are taking a terrible revenge on Lebron and Kyrie for betraying the Cavs. I think it’s clear that destiny intended they remain in Cleveland
