LeBron James Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why wouldn’t a team that’s a lebron away from winning draft him?

LeBron said he wants to play with his son but I don't think next season is going to be his final season. A team could draft him and LeBron could say oh I'm not ready to retire yet, I'm going to wait to my final season to play with my son. Then you got to hold on to Bronny for multiple seasons waiting for Lebron to announce his final season. What if Bronny demands a trade or release when it's Lebron's final season to go to some random team.

Also don't think it's necessary at this point to push Bronny to the NBA so he can play one season with Lebron and possibly stunt his development. What I think is they will take the best path for Bronny's long term development. I think for him to keep playing in college is that path to develop.

Fucking nobody is drafting Bronny without some behind the scenes assurance from Lebron that he wants them to do it and will sign with them because of it

In the Cavs case it’s worth it. It’s your only chance to ever win another ring. Who cares about that pick? Draft bronny and maybe lebron will come back in another year. He’s still elite and with Mitchell and Mobley we’ll have a chance.

I do agree it's probably worth it for a second round pick for the Cavs but I also think he is going to transfer this year and try to keep developing. At this point he is at best a two way player that spends most of his time in the G-league. He will develop better at the college level. He can also make more money with NIL in college than he is going to make as a two way player.

I think he will pull his name out from the draft and he is just really putting it in as a backup plan just in case whatever colleges he wants to transfer to doesn't work out.

He said he wants to play with his son, not just be on the same team while his kid is in the D-League or buried as the 15th player on the bench.

So the real question is how many teams are willing to play someone who isn't remotely at an NBA level just so they get LBJ too. Because I'm not at all sure that's a pairing conducive to winning basketball, especially if you're a team that plans to contend.

How's this scenario?
1. Draft Bronny
2. Trade Garland for LBJ. (Garland is a max player, and we then don't have 2 small guards.)
3. Mitchell is impressed and re-signs.
5. Win another championship. Good for The Land - Good for the NBA.
In addition, Lebron can be a mentor for Emoni Bates, as his "replacement".

The NBA needs “Bronny-Iso”.

The other issue is LBJ is looking for a 2-3 year deal with the Lakers with a “no trade clause”! I’ve been reading articles and a lot of them are saying he’s not ready and should stay in school. One article was scathing saying even the NBA Draft was THREE rounds Bronny wouldn’t deserve to get drafted on skill/talent alone.

It might be true, but I just find it hilarious how this same anger/vigor isn’t applied to other players. Why is it a problem with Bronny when this type of thing has been going on for decades in the NBA?

Isaiah Mobley wasn’t getting drafted if he wasn’t the brother of Evan, and by any team other than the Cavs. If Evan wasn’t in the league, Isaiah would be playing overseas right now. I don’t remember seeing hit pieces attacking the Cavs for drafting him. None of Giannis’ brothers have been legitimate NBA players. Luke Zeller averaged 5 pts and 3 rebounds in his career and made an NBA team. There’s countless examples of guys that were much worse than Bronny that got chances because of siblings or parents.

If Jordan was still in the league while his son was in college and they thought drafting him could potentially bring Michael along, they absolutely would’ve done it.

If Bronny gets drafted, who fucking cares? It’s the teams decision to use the pick if they want to. To be honest, he’ll be more scrutinized as a rookie than his dad was because if he’s not playing well there will be constant stories and attention talking about how he shouldn’t be there.

Brobley was Summer League MVP. Don’t include him with those JAGs who will never win anything. Our man has won as many rings for the Cavaliers as LeBron, Kyrie or K Love.

lol…Brobley wouldn’t be on a team without Evan. We all know it.

Because Mobley and no other prep star was being hyped like Bronny! Hell Bronny isn’t even the second best player on his team at USC and people are still discussing his draft status.
