Take a look at the last 17 games. The non-Lebron lineups have done much better than the lineups with Lebron. The lineups with Lebron have been outscored 11 of the last 17 games....the non-Lebron lineups have only been outscored 5 of the last 17 games. The lineups with Lebron have been outscored by 32 points....the lineups without Lebron have outscored their opponents by 19. Take out game 2 against the Wizz and the Lebron lineups have been outscored by 66 and the non-Lebron lineups have outscored their opponents by 33....a 99 point differential over 16 games.

Before anyone pounces on me, I am not saying we should trade Lebron. I am not saying we should play him less. I am asking WHY? Everyone wants to blame Mike Brown's offense, but it seems to be doing fine when one of the top 3 players in the NBA is taken off the floor. WHY? These numbers below should be totally reversed. We should be substantially better when he is on the floor and just trying to survive when he is out...that's not the case. What's the problem? Is it MB? Lebron? Combination of both?

The new players haven't gelled with our 23-year old superstar. I'm sure we can find a way to blame Mike Brown for this though.

Can you dig up this info from the last 17 games of last season so we can compare? That would be a great indicator of whether or not it's the new guys being thrown into the mix or not.

your numbers show that in the wizards series in 3 of the 5 games played so far he is helping the team in plus minus.

Sorry, too hungover. It's clearly only a recent trend over the last 17 games. When you look at the numbers on the season they are much better with him on the court.

07-08 season - On court +2.2, Off court -8.4, Net +10.6
06-07 season - On court +5.6, Off court -4.0, Net +9.6

The last time you looked at this, we found out the answer a few days later... back spasms. Have they gone away? Doubtful, albeit they've obviously improved quite a lot.

On the other hand, that timing likely coincides with point where Mike Brown realized he needed Z on the floor when LeBron is out in addition to West, Gibson, Brown or any combination of the 3.

We are basically pitting our best players (not named LeBron) .vs. the other team's second stringers.

But notice they were -3 against Wiz last night, probably because the Wiz were on the ropes and couldn't afford to rest Jamison, Butler, and Daniels.

Washington is all a buzz about whether the Wizards play better without Gilbert, and for the most part they won't say that, but what they think is that the team plays harder without Gilbert because they know they can't just stand around and wait for him to do something. Drew Gooden pretty much said just that... that he didn't have to work so hard on the Cavs as he did on the Bulls.

IMO, this is yet another reason having a PG and running plays involving multiple players would help. We need everyone to stay more involved and more in the flow.

I bolded the wins and each of the wins he had a good +/- and the team was better with Lebron. The answer is pretty simple: Lebron played well in our 3 wins and he didn't in our 2 losses
