Lets discuss the "The Process"

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think they could beat us the Cavs this year, but they are going to get a lot better fast.

Does anyone think they could beat Toronto?

If LeBron is smart he'd really consider Philly. That team is a big time star away from coming out of the East. I'm actually impressed they've looked so good so quickly.

You just don’t add LeBron’s game to a team like that and think they’re gonna take off...Bringing in LeBron is taking the ball out of Simmons’ hands, stumping his growth (obviously you’d rather have LBJ but Philly is thinking long term).. You can’t just put Simmons in a corner waiting for a 3pt attempt...Someone would have to alter their game a bit for sure...

With LeBron you need 1 of 2 things. Either a team full of quality shooters and defenders or you need at least one more dynamic alpha perimeter player that can take over...

Simmons is nice and I love his all around game but he’s not Wade or Kyrie take over type in the 4th... And I just don’t think it works with Embiid in that role??

I think this just means we should have really tried to win this year by gutting the coaching staff. Next year is going to mean even harder competition in the east with some real big men coming on while we are smaller. I don't doubt they trade Zizic and draft a smallish guard.

Wow, that Embiid injury...that trade up to get Fultz looks even worse now, if that was possible.

there needs to be a "sad face" response for posts like this, feels weird to "like" it.

I don’t how Philly loses to anyone but us, their schedule is so soft. We’d better beat them, or we are looking at the 4th or 5th seed. I don’t want to play Indy without HCA. We are rotten, in their arena.

Yes, Friday's game is crucial. Players besides Lebron better show up.

wouldn't it be nice if Zizic and Osman were prepared to at least play some minutes in a game like this? Instead they are superglued to the bench

At this point calling for Zizic is a lost cause. He just doesn't have enough court time. Cedi though could really help with the defense especially when the energy seems low. I think it would be a mistake not to have him play even 10 min a game, especially if they are having trouble rebounding or with dribble penetration.

That's what I meant by "wouldn't it be nice if Zizic and Osman were prepared" -- Zizic isn't prepared, we haven't given him enough court time. We could have, but we didn't. Osman though as you say probably could play. But if we don't play him now it will make it harder to play him in the playoffs.

I'm not sure why Embiid's injury has any effect on the evaluation of the trade.

I agree that the trade doesn't look very good at the moment because Tatum has been as good as he has, but I'd like to see a full season of Fultz before I write that trade off. He's looked surprisingly good in his time back. He could end up being the real deal, and if he does, the trade ends up being fine for Philly.

So .... if they get swept by the Celtics, should we call them "Processed" ?

I think their winning streak at the end of the year gave people a false sense of where they're at in the "process".

I kept asking people to name a young team like the sixers that made it to the finals in their "first" playoff appearance. Never got an answer. Teams like that normally get bounced in the playoffs one or two times before taking the leap and making the finals (cavs with lebron 1.0, thunder, gsw, etc).
