I've made quite a few changes on the order of how things load on RCF in an attempt to speed things up for everyone. Please let me know if this has helped loading times for you or made it worse.

Thanks,

Ben

Loads perfectly fine on my end. No complaints.

Now that you mention it. It does seem more responsive on my end today. At least for the content I am concerned with.

Definitely seems faster navigating around the site today than previous days this week. However, I do notice that each page I go to (once I'm there) the page is stuck in loading....I think it might have to do with the advertising.

This for me, I notice it when I refresh the view new posts page the most.

The advertising doesn't load but the page does?
That's what it was doing, yes. The page would load, but you would see the page still loading....I've seen it before. Seems to be fine now.

That's what I was hoping would happen. If an ad hung up you could still get to the page you wanted to see without having to wait.

Waiting for tag.contextweb.com...

This is what it says when it does the "loading" thing we're referring to. FYI. It displayed this even after the ad was being displayed.

EDIT:

A quick google search has shown me that other web forums have been affected recently. Whatever the issue, it doesn't seem to be anything major at the moment.

According to the tests I've run RCF loading times have decreased by 35% so I'll keep the changes but if you notice anything wrong please let me know.

my awful college wifi (which i'm confident is run by a hamster on a wheel) tends to really shit the bed when i'm loading this site up. Now I'm noticing a noticeable difference when I'm logging on. I dont have to click threads twice and the chat bar at the bottom loads quickly. Now i can exit the "sexy girl time" thread more quickly in class rather than seeing it freeze on a disturbing troll gif and the girls behind me start giggling uncontrollably.

great job man :D
