Any theories on the Quicksilver “recasting?” This last episode left me with more questions on Pietro. Obviously, Evan Peters is the Fox X-men Quicksilver, but the memories and bullet riddled hallucination is the Marvel Aaron Taylor-Johnson Quicksilver. My best guess, is that Wanda pulled EP from the Fox universe because he was a pietro that was still alive and “reprogrammed” him with the memories of her actual MCU brother like she’s done to the rest of the Westview residents. The exchange at the hay maze between the 2 was basically her projecting her deep down guilt by having it verbalized through Evan Peters and maybe trying to figure out what was actually going on.

One thing that I want to bring up is Paul Bettany and his portrayal of Vision as this series has progressed. His appearances in the MCU up until this series, for me has been, well ok. I didn’t dislike the character, but I didn’t think anything special of him. Obviously he was worthy of Mjolnir, but it really wasn’t shown what made him so worthy. To me, this series, especially the last 3 episodes has actually endeared me to the character. What sold it for me was this last episode. Vision is being ripped apart and his only words were, “Help! the people need help!” I have a feeling this series isn’t going to end well for Vision just like in Infinity War, only this time his death will be more in line with Stark’s and Widow’s death.

I agree to an extent but I also feel that playing an android limits the range of a character IMO. This is, however, the characters best work. Itll be interesting to see how he bounces back this week.

They seem to be bringing up Sokovia a lot lately.

Although it is germane to the characters, one wonders if they are also laying some casual groundwork for Doom.

In particular, Wanda says she is dressed like a (implied Roma) fortune teller... which is what Doom's mother was. Little things.

Undoubtedly Latveria is in the neighborhood of Sokovia, or may become renamed that then Doom shows up.
Wandas mum is a gypsy in certain versions of her origin iirc

When I was a kid and I read through my uncle's comics, he had a lot of Avengers stuff. The Vision was my favorite. I don't remember why. He's totally boring in the movies. Was he cool in the comics?

He died the same way in the comics.

I get that, but were there other storylines where he was cool? Things the movies didn't cover?

To be honest I was not a big Avengers guy as a kid. So I cannot say.

Vision was a cool character in the comics. They simply haven't really used his powers that much in the movies. He has density control which he'd used quite often in the comics. Basically, he would often phase his fist into his opponent and then solidify. He could also raise his density. He was very powerful.

Monica Rambos cells are mutating as she goes through the barrier. Setting up introduction of mutants cause by Wanda?
Anyone familiar with the comics will already know what is going on here:

Monica Rambeau is turning into Photon.

As for other theories...what do we think about the cliché government asshole character that Marvel loves to make an antagonist? Are we supposed to take him at face value, or is there more to his character that meets the eye?

One of my favorite, albeit outlandish theories is that he is secretly Ultron wearing a human disguise:

I thought Vision was fascinating....for a Y-Town pre-teen Catholic kid in 1970's, his relationship to Wanda was mind blowing. I thought he was a great , incredibly powerful character! I did not love his depiction in the movies, but Wanda/Vision -- yes!
