I mean, they did have Spidey stop a left hook from Bucky with one hand. That's quite the feat of strength. Also, as @Scholar said, it's also a very young Spider-Man, he's been taking down low-level street criminals and has never encountered anyone even close to the level of the people he was facing off against.

Which was more egregious, an insanely powerful spider man being bested by a steroided up freak or Ben Solo getting beaten at swords by two total noobs?

One thing I ignored while the movie was going on but thought about after was Cap punching Iron Man over and over. I know that he is strong and all, but a guy hitting iron shouldn't have much of an affect and should be hurting his hands like hell. Right?

Strength, powers, skills are about two thirds through each article. Spider-Man's strength is supposed to be 10 tons, in his original body. There have been times when he as been mutated and was stronger then that. The article doesn't clarify how strong teenage Peter is opposed to adult Parker. So, it is very likely that the limits of the Spider-Man from the movie are lower then that. Captain America is suppose to have the strength of 10 men. He can bench press over a ton. He is stronger then any peak level Olympic athlete. But, certainly, not as strong as Spider-Man. On their power grid for strength, Cap is a 3 and Spider-Man a 4.

The key to this fight is training, experience, and combat skills. Cap is considered one of if not the greatest tactician on Earth. Teenage Parker has been Spider-Man for about 6 months. As an adult, with experience and training (some of which was provided by Cap himself), he can "hold Captain America to a standstill." But, again, this is not that Spider-Man. On the power grid for combat skills, Cap is a 6 and Spider-Man (Adult) a 4.

I think the movie did just fine by both Parker and Rodgers. I like both characters from the comics, though, I do like Spider-Man more. One thing I'd like to mention is that I never ever dreamed Chris Evans would ever do such a marvelous job of playing Cap. Marvel has done such a wonderful job of casting for their movies, and bringing each of these characters to life.

I still remember the images from the 80's where Spider-Man was classified in strength alone as comparable to Luke Cage, Colossus, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, etc.

I hope Luke Cage calls everyone turkeys all the time.

Is Cleveland really lucky for the Avengers Franchise ? The first movie was shot in Cleveland too and boy was it a box office smash. Justice League you know what to do now :p
The Russo Brothers are from here.

Civil War was excellent 10/10 for me. The only thing I didn't get was how Zemo knew what to look for with the Stark assasination.

Side note for the universe, anyone wonder how everything would have been had Norton stayed on as Hulk? I like Ruffalo a ton, but Norton would have been epic imo. Then again, it feels like a more natural compliment with Ruffalo. Otherwise there is probably too many dominant personalities.

Even Bana was not that bad as a Hulk casting. I think the issue with the Bana and Norton Hulks had more to do with the whole movie being subpar rather than the actors being subpar.

I didn't think Norton's movie was awful. I feel like because he's not an active charachter, it's more so forgotten about.

Ruffalo is a great side charachter, but I doubt he would be charismatic enough to have his own movie.

Maybe they can do a Anger Management type movie for the Hulk ? Steve Buscemi for the Hulks psychiatrist ? :dunno:

It'd be really cool if Thanos bribed Scarlet Witch with the resurrection of her brother to get her to retrieve the stone from Vision
Pretty sure Vision and Scarlet Witch are married at some point in the comics. Judging by the kitchen scene, I could see her falling for him.

I get that Vision should be more powerful because he has an infinity stone, but by that same logic, Loki should have been able to beat Thor because of his scepter.

I could see A3 Part 1 being both the Avengers and Secret Avengers (Cap) taking their shots at a lower level bad guy (think Doku in episode 3, but longer) only for Thanos to finally show looking for the last stone 80% through the movie. He comes in and rips it out of Vision's head, thus killing him and the team reuniting and taking the rest of the movie into A3 Part 2.

Also in regards to their strength, I think there is a reason Hulk nor Thor were in this movie. Whichever side they are on will win.

As for Vision and Scarlet Witch, both looked extremely powerful in Avengers 2. Vision did significant damage to Ultron and she finished the job. In Civil War nothing between the two sides was meant to kill, it was just like a fight amongst siblings. Vision even called Hawkeye out for pulling his punches. No need for Vision to use his mind stone on his pals. They were only trying to subdue them.

Yeah, they definitely dated int he comics and they hinted strongly at it in Civil War. It would just make the betrayal even more brutal.

Scarlet Witch, in the comics, had the ability to be the Avengers greatest ally or most dangerous foe.

On top of that, Universal actually gets to co-produce another Hulk solo movie if it is every made. Which is why every Hulk rumor is hear is him teaming up with Thor or The Guardians.
