Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It sucks I think he would play really well with these guys.
I agree. I know a number of Cavs fans were ready to toss him into the bushes but a constant with Delly was his ability to run an offense. that's why he hung around and became a hero in 2015-16 off the bench. He would have been OK coming off the bench this season IMO. Maybe could have helped accelerate the Windler development.

Yeah I was sort of excited to see Exum go and thought it would lead to Delly/Allen lobs.

He just would have been a good guy to settle down a young team.

We really need a new Calderon/Delly for the bench.

IF Only Lowry were on a 30M contract next year I think we could have gotten him for Drummond. I think the Cavs should try to sign him next year. We just need a vet guy with that sort of attitude.

I was at one of the last pre-COVID games last year against the Nuggets and I think Delly had like 16 assists in a win against them.
Droppin dimes, droppin dimes.

I just hope he is doing what is best for his long term health...I hope to see him holding up brooms at Cavs training camp one day...

(though in all likelihood he would return to support Australia national team/basketball)

That's sort of encouraging, but I hope he isn't risking anything long term.

Did Gerald Wallace retire due to concussions?

I wish Delly nothing but the best. I appreciate him. He's a champion who helped us win it all in 2016, and almost in 2015 too if not for everyone else being hurt. If he and his doctors feel he's good to go so be it.

He needs to retire. It'd be one thing if these setbacks were because of a break or tear, but a concussion isn't to be messed with. Pay him his remaining salary, give him a player development/coaching/front office position, retire his jersey, and let him enjoy his family off the court.

I'm fascinated to see how this plays out. I'm sure the Australian National Team, his college St. Mary's, and the Cavs are eyeing him to start his coaching career with them.

I'm giving his college the inside track for his first job because he met his wife at the school, it would be a homecoming in northern California for her and their child.

That said, he's under contract and once he is feeling well enough, I expect him on the bench with his teammates.

The aus national team needs a new coach badly
